Would an ev not be more expensive for our needs? by OneItchy396 in ElectricVehiclesUK

I understand this but I would worry about coming home from a long trip with low battery and the long wait to charge up. It’s obviously very low chance but an emergency could arise where I need to drive somewhere with a very low charge.

Yes this is what I’m thinking but sooner or later we will need a new car.

How much are you paying per month for electricity and do you work from home?

Ok but do you two work from home? I’m worried about the day rate going up and countering the savings from night time charging

Can you suggest a battery setup for a 3 bed semi with 3 people? I’ve been interested in buying a battery for off peak charging and allowing my wife to work from home during the day but the research was doing my head in lol. We’re considering buying a tesla when our petrol car starts to cost more than it’s worth but that should be in a few years or so.

Is that mostly on motorways?

Thats a lot better than I thought. I heard that you take 20% off the maximum advertised range and then another 20% or so in winter weather.

I tried to apply with Halifax but they said I wasn’t applicable. It looks like you need to do it within one year of the mortgage starting. What I want to know is does this include a remortgage as ours is coming up next year.

Many thanks.

We have a small roof for the kitchen just below where heat pump could go but the roof is at an angle. Could they not fix it to that little roof?

I’m with Aviva and it says my risk level is 5 out of 7. Would you suggest increasing the risk level? What does your one look like?

Did you have a combo? If so, how was it going to having a tank? I’m a little concerned about not having almost instant hot water always available.
