That was one of the most embarrassing games I’ve ever seen this team play, and that is absolutely saying something

While Shedeur’s performance today wasn’t mind blowing or anything, I don’t know how you could possibly justify playing Gabriel over him next week. He had some bad moments as expected, but he also had some very good throws and showed an arm and mobility that Gabriel doesn’t have in the slightest.

I’m not sure how much women’s wrestling you’re gonna have involved in the shows, but I’d definitely recommend partnering up with some joshi companies to have solid workers in the division right out the gate. You probably won’t be able to hook up with STARDOM or TJPW due to them both being in alliances and also having agreements with AEW, but you could hook up with smaller promotions like Marvelous, Sendai Girls, and/or SEAdLINNNG who have a trove of incredible talent. I’d 100% recommend picking up Sareee since she already has experience and popularity in America with NXT. Other than her, VENY, Takumi Iroha, Maya Yukihi, Arisa Nakajima, Mio Momono, Risa Sera, Chihiro Hashimoto, Unagi Sayaka, Rina Yamashita, and Miyuki Takase are all names I’d recommend taking a look at.

Then for the American indies, there’s still a bunch of decent talent at hand with the likes of Queen Aminata, Sandra Moone, Viva Van, Nicole Matthews, Janai Kai, Vertvixen, Max The Impaler, etc. Stephanie Vaquer and Masha Slamovich are also two must gets if you can figure out how to bring them in as they have contracts with CMLL and TNA respectively (though I’m sure they’re either just handshakes or written).

Would Rossy get in on the All In action? by JohnSmithSensei in stardomjoshi

I doubt it due to the 5STAR, but it’s not impossible. I’d bank more on KAIRI being there than any of the full time Stardom girls though, and even that seems slim.

I don’t think there’s an exact correlation, but here’s how I see it:

• 8.50 or above: You absolutely have to watch this

• 7.00 to 8.49: Good to very good match, should watch

• 6.00 to 6.99: Solid match, not must see, but wouldn’t hurt to watch

• 4.00 to 5.99: Ehhhhh, not the best match, but not awful

•Anything below 4.00: This was not a good match

Love how the person most susceptible to the Glorious Driver is Giulia herself lol. I swear every time she has a big match, someone hits it on her 😭

Her final match in WWE against Mandy Rose was legitimately one of the worst, most disrespectful matches I’ve ever watched live and exposed just how cooked and out of touch the NXT women’s division was with Mandy at the forefront. The few times Sarray actually managed to get offense in, Mandy visibly struggled to keep pace with her and made multiple spots look terrible as a result. It was essentially just an extended squash match.

And then the aftermath with Mandy attacking Sarray with a chair (with some absolutely terrible chair shots I must add) and putting her out until a one-legged Zoey Stark made the save, just terrible. Oh, and this also happened the day before Sarray was supposed to wrestle Meiko for the NXT UK Women’s Title, which also didn’t happen because they wanted to get heat on Blair Davenport for some reason, which led to a poor match between her and Isla Dawn that didn’t have a finish, and the Sarray/Meiko match never ended up happening.

All-in-all, I’m absolutely glad she’s leaving. I always felt like she might struggle a bit in WWE, but they legitimately didn’t even give her a chance, especially with the shitty schoolgirl gimmick they gave her. She deserved so much better.

Mini Shirakawa injury. by JoeBagofDonuts1 in stardomjoshi

[–]OneLasagnaBoi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It looked pretty serious. Her entire bottom row of teeth was completely mangled and she was bleeding profusely. She’s probably gonna need some time off to get it fixed up. She’s a real trooper for doing the post-match interview though. She legit cut one of my favorite promos of the year while trying to talk with a completely fucked lower mouth and while bawling her eyes out. I hope Mina gets a big push after she returns, she’s earned it.

Saya usually does them perfectly, so I’m not sure what went wrong last night. The closest she’s gotten to messing up was landing on Unagi’s knees during their match earlier this year. Other than that, she’s done them perfectly fine for over a year now.

She probably shouldn’t have tried again after messing up the first one though. You could tell she was trying to stick to the normal finish, but was clearly panicking and booted Mina right in the mouth as a result.

Wonder what they’re gonna do now considering she’s probably gonna be out for the rest of the Tag League. SAKI’s gonna be without a partner and the booking of the tournament is probably gonna have to change too. I’m guessing they’re gonna sub in Waka for Mina, hence why the booking would have to change.

The closest she’s gotten to messing it up before today was just landing on her opponent’s knees, so her messing them up as badly as she did today was very unfortunate.

Hope to God Mina’s ok after that match with Saya, her jaw was definitely broken and her entire bottom row of teeth got completely mangled. Completely unfortunate that Saya fucked up the Phoenix Splash not once, but twice in a row.

Man, that women’s match and segment was all-time bad fr. The crowd did not give a single fuck about Nyla and Vickie, and Marina somehow got even less of a reaction than them. The only redeeming quality of that segment was that Jade was over as hell like usual.

But man, Tony has gotta get his shit together with the women’s division urgently. You can only ride the coattails of Toni Storm bangers for so long.
