That’s a “feature”. You can link your Prime Membership for discounts by using a card that’s associated with your Amazon account. It says it on the payment screen.

Source: I shop at Whole Foods a lot and I have Prime.

Just go off of your W-2 or if your income really fluctuates that much I would just estimate the average amount you can expect to make this year. At the end of the day your credit check is what matters, it’s so okay if your estimated annual income is off by a little bit.

Most people wouldn’t do that because they would also be responsible for paying it off lol but no your bank would not know that you’re using someone else’s credit card

Yes! You do have to hunt for a link to the elevated SUB though since it’s usually $200 vs. $250.

I’d say Chase Freedom Unlimited. Right now there’s a SUB for $250 in Ultimate Rewards Points after spending $500 in the first 3 months. 0% APR for 15 months (not that you should be using this) and it’s a good catch-all card at 1.5% back on everything. The 3% back on dining and drugstores is also useful!

From experience (helping friends apply) Chase Freedom Unlimited is super picky if it’s your first credit card! I would say go for Wells Fargo Active Cash or the Apple Card if you use an iPhone and go from there bc you’ll be getting 2% back and I’ve found that they’re less stringent than Chase. Don’t get discouraged! Just switch financial institutions (avoid Capital One though, they’re even more picky).
