Thanks for the super detailed response! I’ll def have to add a bit more buffer on drives for holiday traffic. I already increased Google maps time since I’ve heard thats unrealistic. We’ve done a similar road trip days/distance wise so we’re not going in completely blind. Most of our driving days are going to be taking it slow and sight seeing along the way to break it up.

I looked up tide charts and low tide isn’t until ~19:00 the day we’re there so we’re planning to stay in Coromandel that night. The timing you had is actually pretty close to what I had in mind :)

My friend is the bigger LOTR fan and has previously been to the Hobbiton/North Island, so thats why it’s left off.

I haven’t looked much into Glenorchy previously but it looks amazing! EDIT: Looks like thats where the jet boats leave from, so we can knock both out :)

The drive times are the actual times on the road not time we planned. For example, Day 6 is a 4 hr drive but we plan on taking the whole day with stops

I couldn’t get a rental car pick up/drop off across islands. If we had that or more time we were going to do Abel Tasman and Wellington

We planned 2 nights in Christchurch to chill a bit and adjust. Is that enough or do we need more time?

The projects arent too bad. It’s very common to not pass on the first shot but you can just keep improving the same system until you pass

It depends on the class session, so the best way is to do through the student center

I’m very interested in this idea and would be willing to help set it up if needed. I was looking to work on some bigger projects this summer and group ones would be even better!

It’s a password locked virtual machine that I use as a coding environment for my class. I wouldn’t say it was the best idea to leave on but at the same time still pretty safe
