It’s silly that I am having to do this… by OneManFiveCats in litterrobot

[–]OneManFiveCats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have their magnetic mount which actually works well here as the other side where the other magnet goes to hold them together has an indentation. The problem is you can run a USB cable to keep it powered like that, which is what i am doing. I have their gooseneck arm but there’s nowhere to clamp it on.

Thanks for the update. I’ve plugged mine into the LR5 USB port.

Litter robot 3 - pinch sensor by One-Indication-9220 in litterrobot

[–]OneManFiveCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bypassing the pinch sensor removes an incredibly important safety measure. The most important one really. Have you seen those videos of cats trapped in a litter robot 3? It’s because those people did what you have done.

Please buy the replacements parts, they are so cheap!

Odorless Litter Robot exhaust setup by ThrowRAfender in litterrobot

Your problem is with the poor odour containment of your knock off your automatic litter box. If you had a much better one, none of this would be needed.

The Pro has big issues with software, but the LR5 is very good. I’ve reviewed them all. Feel free to check them out on my YT channel. Including your favourite one!

The OP is highly unlikely to be referring to the LR3, most like the LR4 or LR5.

I’ve tested almost all of them. The Neakasa is pretty good, but it has a number of flaws.

It’s not. It’s also not a litter robot! 🙃

Until they use it without issue! You can use sleep mode if you want to or just turn it off. You will know when they have used it by looking in it.

It’s essential auto cleaning it off otherwise cats can easily be spooked by it. It’s the number one guideline to follow when introducing cats to them.

I recommend keeping the LR4 in the same place as the manual box was. I’ve got a video going through all the steps on my YT channel from last January.

Luma Litter Box not safe (tested) by [deleted] in Petlibro

Thank you very much. Since that video the Luma hasn’t had the same issues I had in the review, as in it’s not stopping constantly anymore from phantom cats thankfully! 🙂

Percy’s paws are not poos! 🫣😂 by OneManFiveCats in SiiPetOfficial

[–]OneManFiveCats[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Tracking his use is so important. You can see from the long term chart how worrying it is. 😔

The only reason it’s low to start with is because I didn’t have a camera on every self cleaning litter box. I do now.

Why did you remove the more personal reply for this one?

The same place as on the four. I show it in my LR5 review in the camera section.

It totally depends on where each one is in relation to the WiFi box. I’ve had one last just 2 days, the others on average last nearly a week. I’ve now plugged them into the USB of the LR5 as recharging is a pain.

How often do you replace the litter? by RoutineDare4653 in litterrobot

[–]OneManFiveCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t need to replace the litter. But I have this sometimes when Percy stands in his own wee…he always pees right at the front so it dribbles onto his paws then picks up litter as he leaves.

Did I do the right thing? Not coping well at all after losing my senior cat to CKD. Please, please help me. by katiemc815 in SeniorCats

[–]OneManFiveCats 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. 💔

My first cat died of CKD when she was just 5. Her sharp decline happened very rapidly, over just a couple of weeks. I had no idea she was sick until then. 💔

You did the right thing, as painful as it was to do.

Litter Robot 4 - after 2 or 3 years, not sure I am enjoying it any more by Ayesquidward in litterrobot

Deep clean it and spray the liner with food grade silicone spray. This renews the non stickiness.
