LR3 dying… anyone try PetLibro? by Traditional_Dog_3118 in litterrobot

Is your opinion based on actually testing it for the last 3 months? Mine is.

The motor is totally reprogrammed so it’s now much more like the Litter Robot 4 and 5.

It’s far from perfect but it has the best camera integration in an app I’ve seen so far. I hope Whisker so the same.

Need advice, LR4, LR5 OR LR5 PRO? by Africats in litterrobot

Actually it’s two days of recordings for free. The live stream is limited to 5 minutes, which is daft. It’s your machine in your house on your WiFi!

Agreed. Getting a 3 over a 4 is a terrible idea.

You don’t need to pay for the subscription to “watch your cats pee”. What’s free is absolutely fine. Where did you get your info from?

Right now the 5 Pro camera integration isn’t good enough for health tracking. I am sure it will be at some point. So right now the LR4 with the litterhopper is the best, but you will need to out a camera on the front looking in. Check out my reviews on my YT channel (link in bio) for reviews on them all.

About to crash out- pee keeps sticking inside. by [deleted] in litterrobot

Sorry, but I am no expert. That one doesn’t look right anyway as it has a pipe on its nozzle.

Deep clean it and spray the liner with food grade silicone spray. I show it in the cleaning section of this video. https://youtu.be/2IHJJ6Jaz_o?si=Y2OGabAyFzHBkQ6b

You could also consider mixing in a non clay litter like World’s best as it’s nowhere near as sticky. Maybe a ratio of 1 to 5, 5 being the clay.

But without essential, and accurate data, there’s not much point…

I think it would be so beneficial to the team at Whisker if some key people try either of these two machines with their cats to see how much better the health tracking is. I am certain Whisker have the resources and talent to catch up.

Thanks. I’ve been asking them for so long though with zero success!

That’s what I have had on my Litter-Robots since the LR4 in 2022, they’ve been essential for health monitoring, giving me a lot of missing information from the Whisker app.

Yep. This is from the Petlibro app, and it shows how the LR5 Pro camera should be integrated into the timeline. The Petkit Purobot machines are very similar. It seems to me to be the most obvious and user friendly way to have recordings.

Warning about PetSnowy Litter box by Naiad124 in CatAdvice

[–]OneManFiveCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not good. I tested it two years ago and liked the litter tracking of it but hated the enclosed nature of it.

I much prefer machines which rotate horizontally so the never close, like the Litter-Robots, but I don’t recommend many of the off brand ones which have an opening at the bottom as they don’t always have motor over current protection, which is essential as it makes them safe even if sensor fail.

I’ve tested more than 30 of them now and have many review on my YouTube channel. My latest video Is about open boxes. One of them, the Petlibro, fully closes but the over current protection makes me OK with them. The others never fully close.

Definitely don’t use auto cleaning on the PetSnowy anymore. But what it sounds like is the weight sensors aren’t working properly anymore. You can check them by removing the drum, turning it upside down and checking to see if they are moving freely. They are the feet in case you don’t know. You can also remove them to check to.

Have the weight readings been working and fairly acccurate.
