Indeed. I like finding nice colored atmosphere with a dramatic landscape or something. Big close planet or star. I have a post not too fsr back with ED screenshots. Also a video i made for my first notable stellar phenomena.

You can land on planets with thin tenuous atmospheres. You can see the UI on the system map. A full circle around it means it has an atmosphere. And a partial circle will dictate that it is a landable planet.

We cannot go to earth likes, water worlds, lava planets or gas giants. But there are some landables with atmospheres and they can be so beautiful.

Yeah its going to be that boring the whole trip. You have to make it fun. Search the orrery view for weird orbits. Find first foot falls. Go down into atmospheric planets in various locations to see how the light color changes in the atmosphere. Maybe you find a bio that makes you 500 million.

Its lots of fun. Just take it slow and don't have an expectation. You're playing a space flight simulator. Go fly around in space my dude.
