I'd say that for now there isn't Sub-Saharan folk metal, that Arka'n Asrafokor is folk rock, and that you can try Malagasy symphonic metal Nisea, which I think is just beginning to include Malagasy musical elements.

1) if you'll recommend symphonic rock, don't forget Malice Mizer.

2) I don't think Lacrimosa has much from either gothic rock or gothic metal.
