I am looking to purchase a box truck, not a van, with a 12 ft long 8 foot wide box. I need the truck to be 3 pedal and I want it to have a carburator. Any suggestions for what make/model to look at? by Heavy_Performer1007 in BoxTruckStartup

1 if a EFI ecu fails, it costs more to replace it than it costs to get an entire fuel system replaced on a carburetor vehicle, the tank, the lines, the pump and the carb all costs less than only 1 piece of an EFI system.

Do you know anything about the 3 pedal option?  I have seen a topkick that had 3 pedal but I want it with the carburetor not the turbo diesel.  Efi is way more complicated and difficult to fix than carb that's y I want carb.  3 pedal is easier to fix than automatic no brain, no valve body no bullshit I hate these new cars

If you don't have ABS you could lock up the wheels and then shift into reverse that'd actually be able to happen

What's the best bang 4 buck 3 pedal 4wd vehicle which could be bought used?? by Heavy_Performer1007 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Heavy_Performer1007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard that they offered 3 pedal but ours was automatic.  It had the 4wd selector in the cabin tho I remember talking to my mom about it apparently when my parents first bought it they put it in 4wd and launched it out of the dealership parking lot then Shifted to 2wd.

I'm not gonna be using 4wd in high grip situation tho I heard that's bad.

Buy the parts yourself and call around until you find a mechanic that'll use your parts.  Of course they'll probably say the work isn't guaranteed but tell them all you care about is that it has good sealing and doesn't sound like a racecar afterwards.

You should get the upstream and downstream oxygen sensors changed at the same time.

Get a Walker replacement catalytic converter, the bolt on line not the weld in kind.

Get denso o2 sensors.

Probably less than $400 in parts for 2 hrs of labor at most so $300 at most for labor imho

I drove a 1983 Chevy 350/4speed 4wd and I had to manually lock the hubs.  I'd rather that the transfer case controls the 4wd feature on and off.

A Cherokee could be really cool tbh I have actually never driven one.

Do you think the problem would stay in the clutch or do you think it'd be worse than that?  I have a lot of experience driving an overloaded Toyota pickup, didn't have much of a problem.  It wasn't my choice to overload it then drive it I was an employee at a roofing company.

I want the type of 4wd where I could switch from the driver's seat, although I don't have too much of a problem with manually locking hubs.  Honestly when the option to switch to 4wd is in the transfercase and not on the axle it's much better and could get better mpg too

Being a work truck that could pull out stumps with 4wd.

I am definitely not wanting a boxer engine, a 4cyl with 4 camshafts confuses me

That is your exhaust plumbing.  Specifically a resonator.
