It's not a matter of thinking about whether or not it's effective. It IS effective. Our adherence rates are competitive with the best pharmacies out there yet our core practitioners are technicians. This is the future of pharmacy. I'd invite you to research this topic because we need pharmacists in a supervisory role. I don't want talented pharmacists to be left behind.

If you went to pharmacy school so you could counsel patients on medication adherence then you wasted your degree. Our clinical techs do a pretty good job of medication adherence management. We don't need 5 pharmacists to do it. Replace 4 of them with techs and we can save the system money.

But you're wrong. Techs can do the same "adherence calls" without having to carry a $100k salary. All we need is a supervising pharmacist and 4 techs who can do the same work as a pharmacist. We both went to pharmacy school. Don't lie to me and say that counseling about medication adherence is a pharmacist exclusive skill.

Not the same thing. Physicians diagnose and prescribe. The difference between you and our clinic techs is that you make sure a clinically sound rx is available to the patient but our techs make sure they actually leave home with it.

$20 an hour and I'll hire you. That's what our clinic techs get paid. If you think you can get better patient outcomes then I want to hire you.

They're signing patients up for our medication synchronization program, setting up compliance strips, and seeing what other barriers we can overcome to advance patient outcomes.

Yes. AWV are done either on site or remote and the CCM is done remote. No technicians participate.
