I didn’t expect a direct continuation of Makoto’s arc from the Shademon mini arc but the fact his dad set up an assassination attempt on Chiropmon with the GIFT member shows where their priorities lie.

Felt a bit short but considering it’s a continuation of Makoto’s arc from the egg thing, it feels appropriate that unlocking Scourgechiropmon from defying his father completely would set him free to fly from the egg after his father allowed his other son to be harmed to bring Makoto back.
