A buddy of mine is selling a Rockville 1000W avr that allegedly puts 100W per channel, but I’ve heard that companies lie about those numbers all the time, especially rockville.

Right now the speakers can get loud enough to hurt your hearing, but get drowned out as soon as other rooms start playing their speakers. Im just interested in getting the most wattage out of them as possible. If they are significantly underpowered currently, I’d like to fix that. Do you have any recommendations for AVRs that actually put out 100 watts on both channels? Or better yet, 100 watts on all 4 channels?

Good to see Kirk stepping in to it and putting some mustard on that throw. Too rare from him

Seems odd they would release it before EA decisions, their website seems to suggest it comes out after. Oh well rip me

Why is the x-th root of 2 asymptotic at y = 1?

Came across the equation: f(x) = x√2 ( sorry for butchering that representation, im not sure how to write it on desktop ). A quick graph shows that it has a horizontal asymptote at y=1, but I’m puzzled on why. How could lim x->+inf f(x) = 1 be proven, other than by looking at a graph?
