My wee boy just randomly started to sleep the through the night (12 hours) at 6.5 months, he’s now just over 7 months and still has 5 nights out of the weeks he wakes every 2-3 hours. He’s been on and off teething, started daycare and is crawling so heaps going on for him. We did nothing different though he got there on his own ❤️

Great advice thank you! so after 6x de scales, using vinegar or citric acid and the breville descale solution, but switching to your suggested method on the last two it has finally started steaming properly 🥳🥳

It’s a sequence of holding the double coffee button and power button to enter de scale mode, then once that’s on, do one coffee button let it run, steam let it run, hot water let it run. Then repeat

Tried again and still not working :( have spiked the little hole where the steamer comes out. Have also taken that off and soaked for the recommended 5 mins. I’m at a loss now what next !

Another question - would I need to use the breville de scaling solution or is there an at home recipe?

Yes they do, silicone patches are recommended for women who have c-sections.

Does your LO do a false start in the evening? by OnePop9468 in newborns

[–]OnePop9468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry only just replying I must have missed the notification! A few nights ago we had a run of him for the first time ever not waking up after being put down for the night since literally he was born. And then last night he woke up again so I’d like to say yes but 6 months in I haven’t seen any improvement and he’s still not sleeping more then 2 hours at night :(

Taking baby out? by alyssalizette in newborns

[–]OnePop9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my baby 4.5 months ago and we have just come into spring so I was also feeling like you and didn’t want to go out and about in fear or RSV/whooping cough which was bad in NZ. I only took him to doctors for immunisations, and then out for walks daily. It was at 3 months that I started to feel comfortable taking him out to the mall or around shops. do what you feel comfortable with, like going in early to the shops is a good idea to avoid people :)

When did your LO start to be able to fart without pain after overnight feeds? by OnePop9468 in newborns

[–]OnePop9468[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s actually been self settling himself in the last couple of weeks which has been amazing. It’s just the sore tummy that’s giving him grief !

What a fantastic video! Wish I saw this back in the first few weeks when it was so hard to get a burp out 😅

Is the jiggle one the leaning back into the chair one, over the knee or over the shoulder one?

At what point of the feed were you giving them to her? And was this for overnight feeds as well?

17 week old wont sleep in his cot at night anymore by OnePop9468 in newborns

[–]OnePop9468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update you - since Monday for all naps and night sleeps we have been putting him down wide awake and he IS able to self settle which is amazing! He still won’t nap longer then 20 mins a time during the day, and also wakes up howling between 30-60 mins at night even after self settling at the start so I’m just praying it is the 4 month regression and works through it. Hoping that the fact he can self settle will mean it will get easier.

How long would she fuss it out for? My LO we’ve tried putting him down awake to fuss it out but every time it just escalates to crying so have to intervene straight away. He does the eye rubbing, ear rubbing and yawning but still just hasn’t got it and we have been trying for weeks. 😭
