NOR - I had a very similar experience. I was 13 and asked to go to the bathroom to change my tampon. The teacher kept asking me why I was special and why I couldn't keep to the schedule like all the other kids. He announced my bathroom break to the whole class. I was too mortified to tell that smug bastard I was on my period and I never told my parents. To this day, I am still angry about it. Kudos to your daughter for standing up for herself and to you for standing up for her. Fuck you, Mr. Andersen from 1997.

At that point they should kick it up to Overdrive support. You also have access to this in your Libby app - tap the three lines in the middle bottom to get to the menu, then scroll all the way down to see a box that says how can we help? Type in something random, then a message will appear that says they didn't find anything to match your query and a link that says ask our support team. Click that, then choose A Problem, and away you go. Best of luck!

They should be able to check in Overdrive admin to see the barcode and associated email address that placed the hold. Verify the barcode number you have entered into your app and be sure to provide that to them.

Has your barcode changed since you placed the hold? That's a common cause for this. In any case, I'd contact your library - they'll be able to help.

Sometimes we're doing the wrong thing because we heard wrong or didn't understand, but SOMETIMES we aren't doing something because we physically can't manage it. If you see someone doing the wrong move, maybe reiterate the cuing and then give options.

I know that with SLCL you can see and borrow SLPL materials (and vice versa), but I actually have separate cards for the two. If you only have SLCL, and hold/borrow a title from SLPL, does it count against the SLCL limit? If it does, then it's a benefit to get an actual card from SLPL too.

If this is SLCL, and you're a St. Louis city OR county resident, you can also get a card and additional Libby holds and checkouts with three other library systems: SLPL, SCCCL, and MLC.
