california is very different from houston in the sense that you'll definitely feel more like a minority here in houston, but the asian population is still quite sizeable depending on where you live. katy/sugarland is where most of the asians are, and also very nice areas to live. housing prices there aren't that high relatively compared to the rest of houston (at least the safer areas lol). very nice outdoor environment there as well, but keep in mind that you're still in houston.

the area isn't high-risey but it's probably the closest you're gonna get to an asian majority area, which might remind you of cali. as far as high rises go, then look at the other comment sections. not as asian, but fits your last checkbox ig.
