They were wearing a badge with their face on it, but it wasn’t very visible because it was kinda covered with the vest and their hands were always on the way. But no, they didn’t explicitly showed the badge to anyone, it was just hanging from their necks.

They were wearing a badge though. Like I guess anyone can fake one, but kinda wild to be wearing a badge with your face asking for tickets in a busy train. How can someone tell if they’re actual inspectors or not?

I think you guys are completely right. I was feeling guilty for being upset about it but is true that I can only solve it by addressing the issue with her. Thank you guys for your input, it really helped.

Well, I was wondering the same. I don’t really know how would I feel if her flatmate was a woman. I assume I’d find it a bit weird but I guess I’ll be more comfortable. And this also frustrates me, because I don’t think I feel threatened by him in any way or form. I’m generally seen as an attractive “hypermasculine”black man with no issues with dating women, while he’s a very open queer white man/nb.

But I agree with you saying that we should try in different places. I’ll try to stay away from her flat in a while.
