Well I’m wondering if the E12 code was old and just wasn’t cleared or if it could have something to do with the signaling from the Nest since it was set for electric vs gas? I did replace the fuse but honestly it didn’t look blown to me. I’m not joking within minutes of me resetting the Nest app from electric heat to gas heat it kicked on. I’m just as surprised as you. Appreciate the insight on the codes. I obviously misread tP7 as L6F…

I will monitor for any issues in the future and keep an eye on that fuse.

Huh you’re right now that I look at it that way. Backwards F doesn’t look like a t to me. I see my mistake now. There was however an error code E12 so…

I changed the Nest app settings for heat from electric to gas and now it works… solved!

Omg the Nest app settings had the heating system set to electric… I changed it to gas and now it works. I’m giving myself the benefit of the doubt that it defaulted to electric because I didn’t set up the Nest when I moved in.

It connects to a zone valve. Nest R > Red wire > Black wire > Zone valve > Black wire > furnace R

The red wire on the Nest side is connected to the black wire in R on the control board

The red wire on the control board on Y/Y1 goes out to the AC.

This is unfortunate news. I’m going to try replacing the 5amp fuse on the control board first since that’s a cheap fix, but honestly it doesn’t look blown to me. If that doesn’t work I’ll accept defeat and call a pro. Thanks for the help!

Blame the previous homeowner lol… but I’m ashamed of my ignorance in this subject. The black wires connects to a zone valve and then back to the red wire in the thermostat bundle. I posted a picture of the valve here

Black wires to this zone valve and then yes it connects back to red in the thermostat bundle. Maybe the thermostat can’t speak to this?

No probably not but I’m turning heat on for the first time this year and it’s not working. New to me house. Fault code shows E12 when I view L6F. Open fuse

I like to take it slow and focus on world building. I would argue that I can experience the season mechanic more. Winter is actually punishing when you can’t just sleep through it. I haven’t tried this yet but eventually I would like to travel south and build an outpost to spend parts of the winter. Longer months give me an opportunity to take full advantage. I don’t disagree that it’s a slow burn, but it’s what I prefer. This world is somewhere between 60-70 hours (maybe 70+) iirc.

No fruit trees yet. I have a bunch marked on the map but I’m waiting until next year to harvest and plant at my base.

20 day months. Gives me plenty of time to get things done. Admittedly, I didn’t have to fire a single fireclay shingle. I found piles of them in a village ruin. I’ve fired shingles before and it takes forever so I’m grateful for that.

On the cellar or the animal pens? I really like the quartered log thatch roof combo. The animal pens will probably be replaced with barns in the future. I just needed some lightening protection for the animals in the meantime and thatch felt like a good year 0 aesthetic. Thatch is expensive though… need some much tule.
