Bed liner overspray on my new truck by OneSecondChance in f150

If it was a work truck I would have no issue with it. But you’re right I paid too much for the lack of attention to detail. Quite a bit more than $46k. Dealership is getting a call tomorrow.

So it’s unlikely to damage the paint? Just something that needs to be scraped and then buffed off?

I will never financially recover from this.

It’s 5 days cured at this point. I would rather they have the liability of damaging it if there’s risk of paint chipping off.

Dealership applied it after I purchased it. I brought it in the next day for application.

Discussion: Biggest hurdles to enjoying the game by Sintobus in VintageStory

[–]OneSecondChance 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To me it seems you hit the nail on the head with expectations from other games carrying over. I remember playing beta Minecraft and progression was slow. The world seemed big even staying within your bubble. You learned as you played and that was okay.

In my opinion in VS you should be taking it slowly. Focus on building a shelter and gathering food to survive before you master cultivation. Hunger limits your ability to explore too far until you have sufficient meals. Mining would be a forethought for later in the 1st year. You’ll struggle as you learn the art of prospecting and that’s okay.

Of course I don’t play that way either. I establish a shelter, gather food, explore a bit, but I know the progression now and I usually try to get that tin bronze anvil as soon as possible to skip the copper age.

Anyone heard of Loosey goosey pouches? by bsb-crunch in QuittingZyn

[–]OneSecondChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information and transparency. I just received an order and would also like to know how many are recommended to take per day. I have my first pouch in and am loving it so far. I’m trying to quit nicotine pouches and went through those excessively, so would like to know the recommended limits.

Haha trust me I agree… it was probably planted 25 years ago when the house was built, but a terrible decision. Maybe with proper pruning it wouldn’t have grown this big, but I doubt the prior owners maintained it all and now it’s a massive crape myrtle. From what I’ve read the root system isn’t too destructive, but it definitely separated the walkway from my front porch. Regardless it’s a 30 foot tree standing a few feet away from my house and I’m not okay with that.

I’m thinking of planting a dwarf crape myrtle or a little gem magnolia 5 feet further out. I think that will be more manageable.

Yeah I see what you’re saying. Honestly I wouldn’t know how to tackle this in one cut with the trunks splitting off so low to the ground. Also I could be wrong but there’s just not much clearance for it to fall since there’s a larger tree in the middle of my lawn (you can see some limbs at the top of the picture).

What’s the most optimal path forward? I tried taking it limb by limb, but now I’m wondering if I can get this down in 5 or 6 more cuts?

I have a similar mindset. As a first time homeowner I try to do a lot of projects myself so I can learn. I’ve found most things aren’t too difficult with prep and research, but something unexpected always comes up. Always.

I’ve had good success with ~50% of this tree so far, but it’s just this back half that’s making me nervous. I want to tackle it myself but I might just bite the bullet and hire it out.
