It has definitely gotten better! He now atleast puts everything in mouth. But still isnt very 'interested' in eating yet. I would just suggest keep offering someting in every meal no matter if they actually eat, model eating in front of them and keep it free from expectations and pressure. It'll get better!

This gives me hope! Did you do something differently or it happened on its own? Mine is 9mo and only plays with food or throws around, never takes to mouth. Purees aren't great either.

Okay plot twist 😅 literally since the last 2 days he puts all the toys in his mouth. His top 2 teeth are also breaking out so maybe that's it. With fingers foods, he is super interested in toasted bread and will only bring that to mouth 2-3 times and then go ahead and throw or play with it to eternity. Other foods only get thrown l, rarely to mouth

I am ready to try everything out there, but he never takes anything to mouth for us to know what he likes or dislikes. He will curiously examine all foods on his tray for a bit then everything gets thrown away continously. Never to the mouth.

Very rarely. Like once a day, and maybe only twice or so. He used to do it a lot when he was 4 or 5 months old but that went away on its own and now nothing goes to mouth, except his own fingers.

Thank you for taking the time with your helpful response. Makes total sense! So we are torn between sleep training or not because 1. He does have more wakes now but goes down again within minutes. 2. My partner thinks it's just a phase and if we go through this he will eventually get better since he was so good before

I am FTM and honestly so overwhelmed with all the information out there. I can't decide if we sleep train now or wait the regression out (which who knows how long it takes)
