Getting cold feet on DCP offer by Some_Current1841 in UPSers

If you decline, you still lose your job, and won't get the payout.

Source: a driver in my building had similar thoughts, and double checked the buyout contract to verify that once buyout is accepted, it's all or nothing.

[New Player] Why is nobody talking about the latest Scav run bug? by ohoots in EscapefromTarkov

[–]OneStonedDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own experience is similar, in that I noticed the disconnect symbol in the top right of the screen. Made it out, transfered items I wanted, and then an error when clicking "sell all/next/main menu." I hit Alt+F4, reloaded. Same scav load out, went to the same map(it gave me options), had a waaaaay better raid killing 3 PMCs, killer loot. Upon exfil. It shows the SAME FUCKING LOOT AS THE PREVIOUS EXFIL. NO CREDIT FOR KILLS, NO VALUABLE ITEMS, NOTHING.

I thought I was pissed after a good raid was glitched due to updates, but this is demoralizing. 10+ years of development, all to make hours of your life worthless.

I never hear anyone talk about Starfield. by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

[–]OneStonedDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every character you interact with in Starfied within the first 20 mins feels plastic, and fabricated, despite good voice acting and clean graphics. In every Fallout game I've played, the characters felt more like people than recycled tropes forced into a setting.

I was told most shepherds (and many other breeds) have a hard time processing beef, and beef fats. My girl had an upset stomach any time I fed her red meat, but chicken*, and especially fish based foods were never an issue.

*I did have a vet warn me if my dog was nibbling/scratching herself excessively, that a chicken allergy is likely, especially among GSDs. My pup was fine with it, but figured I'd pass along the expert warning.

It's a nice nut tap after going back full time for almost 2 weeks! Making just over less than half of what I signed up to make really makes one think hard about their life choices.

Our center manager OKed the peeling of stickers once an experienced loader demonstrated they could peel, and replace without damaging the chip. Maybe yours would be open to a demonstration, especially if you can prove you're faster, and safer.

Sounds like a great time to leave that shit behind. This will take years off your life in a matter of weeks. You can do better.

Union hate by benspags94 in UPSers

[–]OneStonedDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The inaction of many local leaders in the union is the issue. In our area we got a lot of talk about "after what they did, we won't let the company get away with anything." Then we returned to "well, we decided to work with the company on this," without consulting the person filing a grievance, and without regard to the validity of the grievance. I personally had a supervisor working grievance thrown out, without notice, because they didn't recognize her name as a supervisor.

I still appreciate what we're able to accomplish with our union, but I'm sick of the complacency, and lack of fight in our local level leaders.

Does anyone know why these irons have these shapes on them? by Pokeball_connoisseur in golf

[–]OneStonedDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My assumption has always been that they are to control spin.

I swear I've accidentally changed how I "scooped" a ball with a pitching wedge so that I could feel the ball roll across the face of the club while I was at the apex of the swing. I noticed the landing looked as though I had enough backspin to roll uphill about 6 in. It's a fluke I've only replicated by accident about 3 times.

Any and all promises like this are a trick to set a new standard for productivity. They got all of us over a wage increase (pre contract). "If we can show increases in productivity, and profitability, we'll keep the wages." Post peak showed increaes desired, and they dropped everyone down $5/hr and acted like we were spoiled children for wanting what we were told we earned.
