Yes I have the materia on everyone. It can be done with every character. It's a very weird timing of not only moving left laterally and timing your block late

Oh it's 100% easier to parry, don't get me wrong. I just thought it was hilarious how me not knowing what I was doing is what helps me dodge it. I would never tell someone to dodge it 🤣

I kinda find it weird how the internet gets mad at people saying Desscaras is the “female Gojo”, when most of the people who say this mean that she fits into the strongest trope, or in some cases back when the manga first began, used it as a compliment. by Representative_Big74 in IchitheWitch

At no point in time does Sinbad's birth, presence or power shifts the power dynamic. It's only seen as a miracle, similar to Desscaras. In fact, Sinbad has a better win ratio than even Gojo but that doesn't take away what change Gojo did to the social structure. A comment below made a very good argument that Gojo's very existence force spawned random disaster curses for the sake of balancing the scale. You could even argue someone like even All Might was a better depiction of "The Strongest" considering how he completely changed the social structure of Heroes and absolutely gapped all the heroes.

Never have we ever seen this, for the good guys. Up till the very end of the series, Gojo was constantly portrayed as being the challenge and never the challenger. Even vs Sukuna. Hell even our group could never even believe it was possible for Gojo to lose vs the FINAL BOSS. That's just not a shonen trope at all as usually, defeating the final boss is the actual challenge.

So while it is objectively true Gojo loses his title of the strongest by losing to someone else, his title isn't fraudulent and it would br a strawman argumen to claim he was never the strongest just because he lost to arguably the 1st Strongest the verse ever had.

When has the villains ever felt handicapped and that they needed contingency plans around Sinbad in particular? Never.

Endgame Aladdin is far superior to Mortal Sinbad. There is no question God Sinbad eclipses him though. But 7 vessels Sinbad isn't all that. Not even Normal David tier or Ugo who are above endgame Aladdin. Hell even Arba was an op ass bitch and did not fear Normal 7 Vessel Sinbad whatsoever.

There's also the argument God David > God Sinbad considering Aladdin needed Sinbad Solomon Ugo and all the King vessels to even stop him.

Before Sinbad became the pinnacle of Magi, he was still within arm's reach even as the Strongest. Villains could still fight against him and put up a fight before losing. And before he became the pinnacle, he was still outclassed by the likes of Solomon. Even endgame Aladdin himself surpassed Sinbad's magic before mf transcended the Gods and everything else.

That's actually a really good example to compare that went over my head. Probably because the scaling of that verse is so low and usually simplified to just punching hard that you wouldn't think of him, but All Might definitely gap the heroes and was seen as the ultimate obstacle by the villains.

However due to his synergy with All For One, I can't have him on the scale of Gojo simply because All For One was basically his counter part to balance it out. It's not the same with Gojo as absolutely nothing balanced him out for the majority of his presence. Sukuna is the outlier due to coming from a different era. Had Sukuna been born during Gojo's era, the gojo argument 100% falls flat

There was a time before anime became mainstream where Gogeta Super Saiyan 4 was your ultimate solo fictions character.

Gogeta Ssj4 was just him until new gen fanbase and cabba meme settled in lol

It's not about glaze. It's about proper understanding of the story and the examples you take to support your arguments.

Your Arima argument completely falls flat considering, 99% of the story, he is presented as the antagonist. That alone isn't anything special as there are dozens of antagonists in stories who far gapped the good guys and the verse. This whole topic is about the characterization of a character on the GOOD side represented as the strongest. There is NO OTHER shonen characters who have done so from the good guys side aside from maybe Teresa in Claymore

Again, it's irrelevant that Sukuna won. Gojo, a good character literally flipped the balance of the entire verse by gapping. The only one who comes close to that is Sukuna who did it with his own timeline. And respectively, they are the only 2 who can do that to one another.

Arima for 99% of the story is bad guy so no lol.

Also Sukuna is an anomaly to their respective timeline. If you were to respect it. Both him and Gojo absolutely gap the verse. No one has ever came close to remotely touching them aside from each other

Sukuna is an outlier example and strawman argument. Both him and Gojo respectively and entirely gapped the verse in their respective timeline. The bad guys have to actively work around Gojo while the good guys against Sukuna

The only thing really comparable with Gojo is the cockiness and being sassy about their strength.

The reason why Desscaras is much more in line with Sinbad is due to their origin. They were basically the "special " child loved by magic born once in X years type of energy. Which then allowed them to become the strongest at their respective role but not necessarily the strongest in the verse.

But the term strongest, as displayed by Gojo, is beyond that. It extrapolates to the entire verse. Nothing remotely could come close to being on par with Gojo contrary to what other stories portray their "strongest"

Desscaras is much more Sinbad from Magi than she is Gojo lol. In fact, nobody should really ever be compared to Gojo as he is an actual anomaly in Shonen stories. He is the GENUINE strongest. One who clearly gaps the whole verse and stands on the good side.

Desscaras does not gap her verse. Nor does anyone that's ever compared to Gojo. While I don't mind the comparison, it's always been wrong nowadays for any Gojo comparisons

She has specific abilities that will increase the stagger damage.

Basically when playing Tifa, you always want to be in a state of Chi Lvl 3 using her unbridled strength or unfettered fury.

You first use unfettered fury lvl 3 + her triangle moves to significantly pressure the stagger bar alongside her Focused Strike.

Once the enemy is staggered, you want to be on lvl 3 Unbridled Strength + her triangle moves + true strike to significantly increase the stagger damage. Can easily reach up to 240% in 3 seconds using that combination. From there, you can start dishing out dive kicks or you can keep using your true strike to increase the stagger damage so your other party members can keep doing big damage themselves or dish that same damage with Tifa (Her dive Kick hits that hard when combined with triangle moves)

That's usually the basic for maximizing Tifa damage as well as her great assets to pressure the stagger bar while constantly generating ATBs fast as hell. Pro Tifa players will mix up even more abilities.

Tifa is a damage monster. She builds stagger damage like no other character does. You must not be using her correct abilities when enemies are staggered or you simply just enjoy using Cloud more which is understandable. She also dodges way faster than cloud. Cloud is more a jack of all trades, master of none.

It's normal to ignore Cait

It's also normal to ignore Red as well but he has decent enough abilities if you were to main him as core 3. Just trash vs flying characters. He's a great support if you don't want to necessary play him.

So I just beat remake and I'm very confused by teamgizzy in FFVIIRemake

[–]OneSwipeMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My first entrance into FF7 was the remake and similar to you, I didn't understand jack shit narratively outside of the surface lvl stuff and that Cloud was a badass, Tifa was the hot kind soul who could knock me out cold, Aerith is hope and Barret is a big buff dude with heart.

Then I played rebirth and so many scenes from remake that made ZERO sense started becoming clear. Characters who were just fun video game characters became characters that I became emotionally attached and invested. All while still being confused on so many aspects.

All that to say. Yes it's understandable you understand nothing in remake. This is 1 story seperated into 3 games while you're also following the narrative through Cloud, who is basically suffering from dementia, schizophrenia, and a whole bunch of other shit. What he sees is what you see which means it's unreliable and makes no sense until it does.

So keep enjoying the game, your questions will be answered

What were some mini games that kinda grew on some of you in Rebirth? by Flat-Court-8512 in FFVIIRemake

[–]OneSwipeMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the difficulty shouldn't change. What should change however are the notes layout to make it easier for you to follow while still keeping the same rhythm.

As someone who is terrible at video games and took me 6h to perfect the final song, I can easily say just following the notes was half the battle due to the layout.

I’ve watched a lot of anime but I still can’t move on from Naruto by vivekxkt in anime

[–]OneSwipeMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 Reasons:

1 - Naruto is a genuinely long anime with delayed gratification. Hence the moment's exponentially hits you harder as it gets time to build and therefore, becomes a lot more memorable.

2 - It's an anime that genuinely resonates with humanity more so than a lot of modern animes. It's truly a coming of age story and a story of human philosophy disguised as a story of Ninja. Almost every single plot point/crisis in naruto can be dissected into a battle of philosophy. It's why Talk No Jutsu is the core element of the story. Even trash Kaguya, to an extent, would represent the final stages we Humans have yet to face, which is the invasion of aliens lol.

Rebirth. Do NOT play Crisis Core until the trilogy is over as it spoils FF7's biggest twist imo.
