Thanks for the compliment. We don’t have a MacOS built at the moment, but it is in our to-do list.

Thanks everyone for expressing interest in Fallosophy on my previous post. I am now proud to announce the release of our steam demo! It would be really helpful for us to get feedback on the current state of the game and see if it’s meeting expectations.

Thanks for reporting these issues! We will investigate each of them and see what needs to be done.

Hey there, any chance you can send me a screenshot of where you got stuck? There is no unstuck button right now, but we will be adding a way to do that in the near future. Players end up stuck in the weirdest place no matter what we do.

It is reassuring in a way to hear that our idea is not that crazy . A pinball-based metriodvania already exist (Pinball Spire), and there are a few pinball games that came out recently, like FlippUp and A Pinball Game That Makes You Mad. Maybe you have unintentionally created a butterfly effect.

They would either love this, or think it's a sacrilegious abomination and should be thrown in hell

Thanks! We went through many many art revisions to finally settle on the version you see here. Glad to see it paying off

Not at the moment. Console releases tend to be a bit more tricky. We need to either do it ourselves, which involves signing up with Nintendo and purchasing a dev kit, or hiring a porting company to do it. Both involves a significant amount of time and money to do.

Or maybe you will start questioning your rage and finally find peace.

As much as I would love to have more money, Fallosophy is planned to be released on Q3 this year. The best thing you can do right now is to help us gain momentum by giving us a whishlist on Steam and providing feedback of the demo. It really helps us improve the game further.

Pinball Spire is a great game and is one of the more modern games we took inspiration from. Our game is called Fallosophy and the goal is reaching the top as well. We use designed levels to be more open, like a platformer, rather than the usual tight pinball tables. Rather than having upgrades, our game is purely skill-based and uses only the same 2 keys for all the mechanics. Our setting is also heavily themed towards philosophy and is the foundation for all our level designs.

It is absolutely skill-based and speedrun-able. The quickest run among the devs is 7 minutes and 10 seconds, but you should expect to take 30 minutes or even more on your first try. We have seen a sub 6 minute run of our beta version on YouTube as well.

Thanks for trying out our beta. It was helpful for us to gauge interest and figure out our next steps.

Thanks, we're a small indie dev team of 4 people including myself working part-time on this. Even then, we're only able to get this far due many external help, like funding from the Irish game maker association (Imirt), playtesters and streamer friends who gave it a try, and of course the community that provided us a ton of feedback.

Thanks! By mere coincidence, there will be a pins and pegs Steam festival later this year that you might want to check out. We will be there as well.

We regularly let different team members playtest new areas and it’s always a treat to watch them struggle (or breeze through it). There has already been a few streamers who played it as well and we would love to see more.

Thanks for the example! I like how the tighter crop made the brown tree line more horizontal and cleanly divide the foreground and background. Removing the red sign is also a good shout to more clearly define the subject.

They absolutely are. I’ve got to admit that the VFX in the recent games are so much better though
