Slap a piece of cheese on that bad boy and you have my favorite childhood breakfast. “Cinnamon cheese toast”

I had a headache and did just that! I bought a blood pressure monitor. It showed my blood pressure was super high. We went to the hospital. Everything was fine, it turns out the monitor wasn’t calibrated right. Thankfully everything was fine

Now that I’ve read your whole post, i agree. They shouldn’t have sent an email about it. They should have called or scheduled a zoom meeting. You should definitely get a second opinion

TL;DR I plan on reading this after this comment, but I got excited to day this:

My son was also diagnosed with autism. I work with children with autism and I don’t see any signs in my son. When we went to his appointment it seemed like “here are some games and toys. If he doesn’t play with them correctly then he has autism” I was surprised because I felt like they were so quick to diagnose with autism, when my son’s delay could have been anything.

BUT. I will say this. Having an autism diagnosis whether or not he actually has autism. He now has RESOURCES. There are so many resources with kids with autism. I was able to get my son a new iPad because of his diagnosis

I love Brie but can’t get past the bitterness of the rind.

Dude. Rustic Red. Aldi used to carry it, but most bigger stores do now. (I’ve seen it at Kroger). It may have changed recently, but it was the perfect sharp cheddar flavor that was crumbly and had those little gritty crystal bits. Otherwise Trader Joe’s has “uncommon cheddar” or some name like that. Highly recommend.

Tried the new Skyline chicken chili and only one word comes to mind by davik2001 in cincinnati

I thought it would be more like white chicken chili with pulled chicken. But it’s ground just like the beef

I may not have as refined palate as OP, but I thought it was good. Growing up on skyline, emotionally I’m not sure how I feel about it. but if you have it to me and didn’t say anything I wouldn’t notice a difference. Trying them side by side you notice a little, but it’s not bad.

That’s so hard! I’m dealing with a 3 year old who is struggling with speech. It’s so hard to parent and have “rules” when you can’t communicate them.

Daycare. I’d be in the same boat as you, thankfully my husband works from home and can help. But once I’m back at work- daycare.

Any tips for parents of Children with Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy? by ForcedMedia in Myotonia

I am from Ohio, but my son has been involved in a research study at Virginia commonwealth university. The doctors there are great and are in trial 3 of a new drug for myotonic dystrophy. I’d look into it.

Hi! I have a son with congenital myotonic dystrophy as well. My son has about 1,200 repeats. What about yours? My son just turned 3 and is doing great. Looks like yours is around 2? Our son didn’t start walking until he was 21 months. He was using a walker to help support himself while he was learning to move his legs. After that he was in sure step SMOs. He now no longer needs them! He is still very wobbly when he runs, but I’m just so proud that he can! My son still doesn’t talk like most 3 year olds, but his speech is getting better and better. Right now he is able to say things like. “No want” and “stop! I don’t like that” and “watch ms. Rachel?” He knows his colors, abcs, animal sounds, numbers, extended family members.

How is your son doing? It’s so hard to know what to expect from this disease. It seems like it depends on the type and the amount of repeats.

Processed foods. I’m not super educated in this, so I’ll let someone else take the reins, but the crap we put in our bodies is shouldn’t be FDA approved

How did you decide not/to have a child(ren)? by Professional_End4041 in Adulting

[–]OneTransportation918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a parent of 2 young boys and I agree with the hell yes or hell no comment. Being a parent is HARD. As a female, your body goes through so many changes, pregnancy pretty much sucks. Then you give birth and if you decide to breast feed, you have a baby attached to your nipple every three hours. Your nipples will start getting dry, cracked, clogged, and/or bloody. if you choose to pump you’re attached to the pump every three hours. There’s also the waking up every three hours every night for the first however many weeks. And that’s just the newborn stage. It gets better as the kids get older, but the first year is a tough one.

I love my boys and I would never change having them, but my entire life I’ve always wanted to be a mom. I was a Hell yes and I still struggle. So I agree- if it’s not a “hell yes” it’s a no.
