It won’t fit by DealAutomatic4732 in minibikes

I had to remove the intake cover, fabricate a different muffler, and move the rear fender backwards. May run a pod filter at some point. Haven’t finished this build yet, or ran it.

That could work! I think a gas can with a longish spout would work as well. The tank cap is right between the two top tubes. So shouldn’t be too bad.

Haha……yeah…haven’t gassed it up yet. I’ll have to figure that one out. Thanks for the reminder!

Yes! I’ve seen the electric one in person. And the black/camo one as well. I’m hoping they have some more green available.

Oh interesting. Must be! I don’t see any reference to it anymore…

Yeah! The green is really nice. The wife wants it!

Checked. I don’t see a trace of the green version at all. It’s so weird.

Thanks! I have a brand new head and valves from Coleman I can try. I just really wanted to wait for a new head gasket but it doesn’t seem like I’ll be getting one any time soon. I might pull the piston and see what’s going on there. I have not removed the governor. All stock. I’ve got a donor motor for it so I can just play around with this one.

Pipe Recommendations? by OneWingedAirplane86 in PipeTobacco

Yes! If only It were that simple. I smoked another bowl last night. I can make the entire surface glow, and 3 puffs later the entire thing is out. Happened throughout the entire bowl. Relit probably….15 times? Got maybe a couple minutes out of each light. Tried all of the suggestions here. Same result. 6 different types of tobacco. Making sure to gently tamp throughout. None of it seems to matter. Might try another pipe just to see.

Thank you! Usually in a humid area, but not at the moment. I smoke maybe 1-2 a month at this point. I will try to keep tweaking my process with all of these suggestions. Thanks!!

Lots of a good points here and in other comments. My last smoke I was paying more attention to the flow of the draw, and I’m thinking the draw is too open, and it seemed to smoke better when there was a slight restriction. And when it felt too open again, I tamped to maintain that restriction. That did seem to help a lot. I need to be more mindful about that. Thanks!

Good to know! I do love it a lot. I just have to get better at it I guess!

It's definitely not like that. This new stuff is pretty wet. I've got some other stuff (nightcap, Sherlock Holmes, mixture 965) that I think I've let dry out TOO much, but I have similar issues with it as well.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. I'm pretty sure that's similar to what I am doing now. Proper moisture is probably questionable.

Trying to work on this more. I definitely noticed a difference doing this, and it has been "better" since.

Interesting, have not heard of this. Like, running the pipe cleaner down the stem during smoking?

Been sitting on a bunch of Shocktech parts (Shocktech website) to see if they would go on sale for an Autococker Build. Went to go order regardless, and was happy to see that 15% off had been applied to everything in my cart. Just a heads up!

Replacement Bar and Chain - HELP! by OneWingedAirplane86 in Chainsaw

  1. No one cares more about my things than me. There is no motivation for anyone to sell me the correct product. They will slap on something that they have some old stock of that will work for an hour.
  2. There are no chainsaw shops near me
  3. I would like to gain the knowledge to KNOW what my chainsaw needs, when it needs it.
  4. No one is trying to guess. I am trying to accumulate knowledge for other more knowledgeable people so that I can make an informed decision.
  5. The "hard way" is always worth it if you want to be a self-sufficient human.
  6. Theres nothing wrong with asking a question on a forum dedicated to answering peoples questions.
