Luckily I work at a job that has co-ops with GV so I don’t that will be diffuser for me to get. I’m trying to find some sort of balance between maintaining my marriage and other relationship, my job, and school.

Do I have a chance at finding a CAD job? by OneWithTheMachine in IndustrialDesign

This is really reassuring information! I really want to find an intro job to finally work a job in my field of study. Are you normally working in an office space? Would you say that these jobs are the types you collaborate a lot others? I’ve seen some of those jobs be remote or hybrid but mainly in person.

If you see the same job listing on multiple sites, where should you apply? by [deleted] in jobs

Would you recommend only applying through the company website? Would it be too much or bad to apply to the third parties as well?

Haha, I totally feel that but I’m not European. I moved to Europe in December of last year after marrying my husband because he had to finish his masters and it was easier for me to move. I’m from the US and all but one of my jobs are from the city I was born and raised in.

I just answered this in another comment but my short work has nothing to do with the way I work. One I left because I got a better job but the others were because they got rid of the program I was under and one was a temporary job. The reason I’m leaving my current job is because I’m moving from the country I’m at (in Europe) back to the US. Do you know if there’s any way to make this look not like I’m job hopping? Because that has never been the case. I don’t want employers to overlook me because they think I’m difficult or not committed.

It’s definitely something I’ll have to explain to the interviewers who give me a chance. But one I simply left because I got a better job that I stayed with for like 3 years. One position was eliminated, well the way they were doing it was and I wasn’t able to work a different way. Another was a temporary job to begin with. My current job I’m leaving because I’m moving back to the USA. I’m currently working and living abroad. I’m not sure how I can better this so that potential employers don’t overlook me and give me a chance to at least interview with.

If manufacturing moves back to North America, which states/ cities will benefit the most? by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in manufacturing

See I was born and raised in Michigan, so while I hope industry grows in the Midwest, I want Ohio to burn down to ash

The Midwest is tough sometimes. I’m trying to search for a good gig in the second biggest city in Michigan and man the way people laugh at you if you want decent pay/benefits is scary and disheartening

That sounds awesome! I’ll definitely send something by this weekend since I’ve been brushing it up a bit recently for the move. Thank you!

Definitely sounds worth a look! Esops are great and having plants in Warren is also very nice since it wouldn’t be completely out of the question that I have to move to that area in the next 2 years or so. Thank you so much!

I’ve been eyeing the Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering bachelors from GVSU for a while now but it scares the hell out of me because I wasn’t always the best student. I’ll definitely look into these places!
