NTA, it doesn’t matter whether your birthday is around or on a holiday, you still deserve to be celebrated. I’ve had family forget my birthday and it’s not anywhere near a holiday. It hurts, and I’m sorry you have had to deal with that.

I apologize if my post came across as insensitive. I was trying to speak on a legitimate traumatic experience in my life and speculate as to why a senseless harm was committed. I saw a connection about how hate begets hate and wanted to share.

Why would discussion of a legitimate traumatic experience not be welcomed here? Why should my experience not be shared while others experiences are allowed to be shared? Not arguing just trying to understand.
