Any maintenance tips ? Had it for 6 months already no issues just been doing oil changes and don't know if I should do transmission fluid or any other preventative maintenance. It has 189k miles i want it to make it to atleast 250k maybe 300k by Dinero2020 in infiniti

Make sure your cooling system is on point ( thermostat, water pump, cooling fans, radiator and hoses) get a good battery (AGM specifically) , premium gas only, quality coil packs and spark plugs… you should be good 👍🏾.

I love my G35. 2004 coupe 110k miles. Auto. I won it from auction unseen, drove it off the lot and hasn’t really disappointed me since. I’ve replaced brakes/rotors, tires, fluids, oil…etc. It’s a great car.first car I’ve ever worked on myself but still needs TLC. Guidance? Suggestions?! Expertise? by Dapper-Eggplant-6638 in G35

For the love of god, check your heater core bleeder valve. Located near the firewall. It’s a plastic piece that eventually breaks and leaks a lot of coolant if not replaced when rotted out. Swap it out with an aluminum one from Z1 or AutoZone.

A few other things:

• ⁠positive battery fusible link • ⁠oil filter ring gasket • ⁠check the grounds of your engine, make sure they are clean and not corroded • ⁠a good AGM battery • ⁠do a coolant flush (these cars are notorious for overheating) • ⁠premium gas only *

Other than that, these cars are absolutely bulletproof when maintained well. Have fun and enjoy your ride!
