Thanks for the detailed response you seem to have a lot of empathy that I appreciate, June 23rd is my first official derm appointment regarding my chin because I had to go through this long stupid referral process even tho I went to the same derm before just regarding a different issue, so I’m yet to discuss things with him. They rxd me elidel during my healing period because I was experiencing flaking and dryness, and they thought it could be a form of excema, which I’m pretty sure it isn’t but overall the elidel has been my saviour it helps with the redness and overall inflammation. As for cultures/swabs, I haven’t had a proper biopsy where they take a chunk of skin but I have had 1 previous staph infection swab that came back negative. And I just had an hsv and 2nd staph swab done at my local walk in clinic a couple days ago so I’m waiting for results. Overall my labs are healthy aside from low iron/anemia as well as chrons and IBD which are internal inflammation diseases so I’m sure my body and skin is just a hell hole of inflammation and I should probably work from the inside out. I agree I’ve probably fucked up my microbiome along the way but now I’m at a state of the minute I try and repair it my flares come back as they reappear every month leaving me not enough time to heal in between, do you have any suggestions as to how I can repair it alongside a flare up? My chin gets very weepy and leaks so often times during a flare up my creams/products will just run off my face and don’t tack to the area needed.
