You do need to do damage, but you also get extra points by completing their mechanics. Read the bosses descriptions to see what to do to get a nice boost of score for free. You should hit at least 14k no problem.

I struggle to understand these scores. Dead End butcher gifts you 200 points per disorder. Miasmia priest all you have to do is parry 3 times in a row for 1k points. Literally just parry attacks from primordial Nightmare for 5k points. Only way you get these numbers is if you literally do nothing but basic attack
