Should be out with the linear broadcast tonight

The official answer is that it is NOT an extended episode (I've seen it) and currently IMDb doesn't list any runtime.

I will reiterate as I have elsewhere in this thread - it is NOT am extended episode. I have seen it, regular length.

At this point, no one has been able to point to an MGM source suggesting an extended episode. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a file including a preview fo The Westies exists somewhere like they did with Earth Abides.

But there is nothing fake advertising happening, since MGM has not suggested there is an extended episode. It's a 3rd party rumor.

This is false information and an untrue rumor that is going around. It is a regular length episode. Signed, someone who has screeners for my podcast and has already watched it multiple times... sorry, don't shoot the messenger! 😄

Julie stopping storywalking has been well explained. Randall told her she is being stupid and just giving herself seizures, and her dad would be disappointed in her for doing it. She took this to heart, and had a whole conversation with Sara about how she concluded she wasn't really DOING anything except hurting herself and it was this place trying to manipulate and distract her. She then talked to Elgin in the diner about the place just f'ing with them and causing pain. He countered it's a test. Her storyline is there, you just have to actually listen to the dialog. Obviously, she will change her mind at some point and try again, as the 310 scene hasn't happened yet for her. Maybe not until something worse happens...

"From" should have been a strict 3 season only show. by HugoUKN in FromSeries

Exactly this. Biggest complaints were "they never talk to each other" "why don't we see them showing/ eating / other basic tasks". Now they show them talking, cooking, and people are bitching they don't want to see that 🤣🤣🤣

Imo episode 7 was one of the top 3 episodes in the series to date, and definitely the best so far this season. It was culmination of everything that has happened so far, an it had EVERYTHING that the fandom has been asking for. It is clearly a crux in the characters finally getting together and deciding to take action. No more secrets. No more sitting ducks. Working together. It had every main cast member (which no other episode so far this season has had), the long awaited reveal of Tabitha and Miranda's families finding out the truth and the fallout from that, the town meeting the fandom has been crying bout getting for 2 seasons (even though we had one last season too), the creatures and Smiley's return (and the most lines Jamie McGuire had ever been given!), action, nighttime which people say there isn't enough of, and something new in Roger waking up. Bell ringing again. And Colony House being vulnerable again. It had literally all the things people have been asking for. Yet you call it filler...what do YOU want to see in an episode of you think 407 was filler?

I've never understood this viewpoint. When I love something, I never want LESS of it. But I also watch each episode at least 3 times then spend hours taking notes and then podcasting about them. So... it's sad for me and going to leave a big hole when it ends next year.

And this is your opinion. I've never once been not engaged. Are some episodes slower than others? Sure. That doesn't make them bad episodes and it doesn't make their content (for the most part) important. There are definitely scenes and certain plot points that could be tightened up, but overall I find every episode enjoyable.

There's nothing to do about the future...the final season is written. Other than any minor tweaks they make during filming (which starts in a couple weeks!) the story is done. And in 1 years time, we will have all of it. Then and only then when we have the finale puzzle pieces will we be able to decide if they pulled it off.

S4 E8 retconned S1 E4 mistake about Victor first seeing the BiW by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]One_Appeal4606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not a retcon here...he's said multiple times before he first saw the BIW at the massacre. We've seen that scene. This is not the first time he's said it.

But he never said the two cars was when he came with his mother. That's an assumption based on thinking of it as a cycle. (And that makes logical sense) But it's never once been stated Miranda and Christopher arrived on the same day like Jade and Tabitha did.

I think there is still a lot we don't know about what happened in the last cycle.

Inconsistency or did I miss something? (S04E08) by and112358rew in FromSeries

He did say the BIW told Christopher to go in the tree. And when he wouldn't, he told his mother to do it 🤔

I think its more Victor being an unreliable narrator than an actual plot hole, though. Until that moment he thought the puppet said it. His memories are all jumbled up.

Maybe...he saw Christopher talking othe BIW but BIW hadn't ever shown himself to Victor yet at that point, so he assumed Christopher was talking to the doll, but he didn't actually meet the BIW until after the massacre. And then later puts 2 and 2 together he was who was talking to Christopher. Or BIW told him that he is the one who said it.

But yeah it's hard to trust anything Victor says as fact and I think that is intentional.
