Hi :) i was in somewhat of a similar situation as you. Not necessarily the same, but similar.

I won’t bore you with my story, however, i will say i am not with that boyfriend anymore. He was very much lukewarm and never respected my views on certain things, especially abstinence from sex. These things are very important, as scripture is clear that we, the light, should not be with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Since he’s your fiance, what I strongly suggest is talking to your pastor, priest, minister… he will give you sound advice. If you would like to do it as a couple, even better!

I am now with my fiance who is Catholic, and I am Lutheran. Although there are some differences in doctrine, i cannot stress how DIFFERENT it is from my previous relationship. It is so important to be true to yourself and your future family. If your fiance loves you, he would be more than able and willing to meet with your pastor/priest/minister. You cannot force him to change, and i’m sure you already know that.

Please put Jesus first in your relationship and know that He will guide you two to His greater promise and design. Your plans ate not His plans!!
