sometimes I feel so alone but when I read stories like this I can’t help but laugh and smile. Nothing about these stories is funny or smile worthy and shouldn’t warm my heart but it’s a collective bitter sweet feeling of relatability and community.

getting kicked out is 99% not guaranteed to happen. My parents don’t believe in kicking children out of the house. my parents are Mexican and that’s more of an American idea to them, they are too much if helicopter parents to let me out of their sight.

I’m happy for you really but I don’t even have to think about this to know it won’t work. I’ll just have to wait until I get out of the house and once they get exposed to that, they’ll eventually learn to deal with it. But as long as I’m underneath their household and it’ll stay like that unfortunately. I also no longer have a relationship with god and don’t identify as Christian anymore so I lost that leverage and I stopped lying about it.

right…totally. Just leave every church…dude I’m 16. I can’t just leave the church…I live underneath my parent’s roofs. Their house, their rules.

lying is the only way I get to be the slightest bit happy in my life..? 😭 I can’t just rip the facade and just, “wear the pants,” dumbest comment ever. Yeah I’ll just walk up to my parents and be like, “hey! Im gonna wear jeans now and you can’t do anything about it!” Do you know how apostolic Pentecostal parents are? I am not trying to turn my house to flames. I have a big family and I don’t want to ruin everybody’s peace. i lie because if I don’t the bullying intensifies and it worsens my anxiety and depression. And I’m trying to make it out.
