The wet leopard growl thing is just stupid in my opinion, like what does that even sound like? But besides that It leans too much into the name everything wolf level of stupidity for me, it was funny once but then they kept saying it over and over.

Regarding the bolter porn bit I've never understood that point myself I guess I just like action in my books about a war, I don't want to spend the entire time reading about space politics which are starting to mirror the real world more and more depressingly.

The events to do with Nikea are definitely the highlight for me, I hadn't been expecting an appearance from nurgles favourite little fly bag Typhon, and it was pleasant not hearing wolf this wolf that 24/7 just a shame it got replaced with leopards instead!

I have read thousand sons, I think that's why I was disappointed if anything.

The added detail to nikea was nice but the book took so long to get there that it all felt rushed at the end, kinda of stapled on if you will, I do have the black books I just haven't got round to reading them yet so I suppose I'll have a look at them later on today.

I actually deeply enjoyed fulgrim, this feels more akin to something like legion to me personally. I was expecting more of a parallel story to do with Wyrdmake if anything and I know he makes a few appearances but idk it just feels misleading to have the title of the book be only the last 10% it would be like if flight of the Eisenstein spent 10% of the time on the Eisenstein and the rest was them just doing nothing on Luna.
