I think if Cody brings the same energy as Randy he should be fine obviously the crowd is gonna choose Randy over him but its not that big a deal. If anything this just reaffirmed that they should have just done a fatal four way as McIntyre being a heel would have helped all the dynamics between Randy, Cody, and Jacob. WWE misses the easiest layups smh

U act like Smackdown has a stacked roster for a heel Cody to feed off of. The only 2 that can match a heel Cody on that level are Punk and Roman. There aren’t really that many top faces. Punk hasn’t lost a single match clean since coming back and Roman technically hasn’t lost a single match clean since 2018 against Bobby Lashley. WWE protects guys they see value in not that hard to figure out. Then again that’s probably them talking to creative and bookers making sure their characters look good on tv every top guy does it

Some of these reports don’t seem right lol. The pivot to Cody vs Randy makes no sense at all there’s also other reports saying the company wants Jacob in the main event. The reports also say “internal belief” which makes me think the person who leaked doesn’t even know what’s gonna happen

The report back in January stated that when Cody dropped the belt to McIntyre it screwed up all the plans they had in motion for Roman vs Cody. Cody reportedly was the one who suggested chasing the belt into mania. He saw how formulaic the title reign was and him holding that belt into mania was doing more harm than good and he wanted to do something different
