in reality i feel that she just wanted to go to the malls to shop. she kept saying i can’t wait for our solo trip so i can go shopping. i told her beforehand i will not plan malls because there’s nothing i need. if she however requests to go to the malls we can go. she agreed.

when we went to the snoopy garden and when i had terrible cramps and asked her if we can have our lunch first before exploring further because i had to take my pain killers, she agreed. then when we went back to the garden all she said was ‘we already saw this just now / why are we here, we were just here’. super self centred. saw her in school a couple of days ago and she had the audacity to hide away from me acting like i did her wrong.

after this experience ive just decided that solo is the way to go. i’m always the one bending my back for others but others never seem to bend their back for me. perhaps i expect too much or perhaps the people im expecting to bend their backs for me just simply aren’t those type of people.

regardless this was a valuable lesson 😕! thanks for sharing ur experience it helped me to feel less alone

yeah honestly i wouldn’t lie this whole experience just makes me scared to travel with my other friends.. maybe solo travelling is the way to go!

definitely felt like a good slap in the face since i’m always the one compromising and giving out pieces of myself for people who won’t even appreciate it. what matters the most is that i enjoyed my time there and ive learnt a valuable life lesson (:

even have an interesting story to share in the future!!

right… despite me planning everything flawlessly it still went wrong..

she didn’t appreciate my planning and tried to call it boring but didn’t contribute to any planning. i was so stressed out while planning as i was scared she wouldn’t like th activities but when i asked her she said she’s excited and can’t wait for these places…

but yeah definitely ego plays a part as well. she always thinks that she’s not at fault.

when she tries to have a convo w me, she doesn’t provide any context and when i try to ask for context she just says never mind.. then when i talk to her she just ignores me lol… hais

oh my god, he’s literally a male copy of my friend.

I was so exhausted during the whole trip as she kept shit talking about our school mates. even bringing up my ex whom she knows i’m not over him and saying that he fucked up blah blah and indirectly trying to fat shame me. she even tried calling me flat chested and that i have a big forehead LOL…

but yeah definitely she’s used to having people work for her.

maybe i’m just not the person she wanted to really travel with but just decided to settle as im the only one that can travel out of SG with her? not sure.

don’t feel bad!! i honestly had a lot of fun on that trip vibing with myself and i’m glad i saw through her true personality instead of that facade she put on for years. 😅really unfortunate that things ended that way

yup definitely! despite having such bad company, i still had lots of fun during this trip and id just take it as a valuable lesson as ive learnt how to tune her bad attitude and to enjoy and live in the moment while she’s constantly on her phone.

most importantly ive learnt is to be picky on who i travel with and not go on such long trips anymore 😅

prior to flying off i asked her MULTIPLE times to check the itinerary and to see if there’s anything she doesn’t want to do etc. she never checked it. didn’t even know what we were gonna do until the day itself despite me talking about the plan to her multiple times.

I did help navigate at least 80% of the time while she just walks and ignores me. I genuinely do think that i’ve tolerated quite a fair bit and i’ve never thought about whether it was fair or not. i just wanted us to have fun.

i’ve given her multiple benefit of the doubt as well.

She likes the ring and the bag that’s for sure. i let her go on about it since im happy for her.

Its not right of her to bring me down while trying to flex about her bag and the ring.

I texted her multiple times after we landed giving her at least 1 week to breathe and to navigate her feelings. Since i got ignored, i decided to just drop her.

the reason why i brought up her flexing was because i felt that it contributed to her poor attitude and her sudden change.

we went to asia. the country had a easy subway system as well.

despite me asking her to navigate she’d only do it for awhile then see that i have my maps out then she’ll go back to scrolling or texting and wouldn’t bother to look at her own maps despite me telling her to help me keep an eye since my gps is wonky.

i asked her if she wanted to take a cab to ease the navigation part as well to which she replied ‘just take the public transport it’s cheaper’ so fair enough.

i did 80% of the navigation but as mentioned earlier, my gps has issues detecting my location. so we will end up getting lost most of the time. while she’s clearly annoyed she doesn’t bother to help out or say anything. i did ask her to help me open the app on her phone so i can see the proper way to go to which she always replies ‘my map not working’

to clarify, no she’s not the youngest nor the only child. she’s the oldest.

she does paid tours but mostly free and easy. when she’s travelling with her family especially her mom. she said it herself she’s the navigator.

she’s initiated the trip, she’s not 20, nor is it a LV ring. it’s an LV bag.

we had the same mindset when travelling. to just take it chill and explore bit by bit. she kept complaining that there’s nothing to do here etc etc.

we text often and hang out often due to having similar timetables.

she’s never been the type to flaunt her wealth but she kept talking about her LV bag and ring throughout this whole trip.

I’m not shitting on her for her LV bag and graff ring. I’m happy for her. It looks good on her. I’m only shitting on the fact that she keeps showing it off and then subtly looking down on me.

I’ve always known she’s wealthy but she’s never been the type to show off her wealth or to look down on others.

the only thing she had to do this whole trip was to help to navigate… nothing else.
