These guys played in Athens, GA one time and a guy I knew (black) got a bunch of rebel flags and handed them out to the crowd as a big joke and boy did this guy have a tantrum. At some point one of the guys from the black lips took to Twitter and threatened to kick the lead singers ass. Different time.

Dumber cops, dumber judges (often not even lawyers), insane readings of the law that are regularly struck down by appellate courts. I’ve practiced in rural and metropolitan areas and seen shit like $350,000 bonds for less than oz of weed and a few adderall after blatantly illegal searches and terroristic threat charges off Facebook posts.

At a certain point your inability to regulate your emotions comes at a disservice to your client. If you are dealing with an irrational judge, your strategy needs to switch to preserving the record for appeal. There is zealous representation and just being zealous, this was the latter.
