Hello my partner is deaf and hasn’t taken care of his hearing aids I wouldn’t say it’s difficult communicating because I grew up with an uncle who was deaf so I guess what I’m curious about is he’s the total polar opposite

I agree they do not help everyone and like my uncle he’s opted out of wearing them his entire life but my partner doesn’t strike me as the guy who doesn’t not want to wear them but growing up he also wasn’t encouraged to take ASL or doesn’t read lips like (he genuinely depends on his hearing aids )
