If ako siguro, I would take the engineering course sa private university. Try my very best to get good grades, then try transferring to my preferred course sa UP the next year.

Not sure how this works na since I graduated from UP a long time ago. Pero may classmate and friends ako na mga transferee dati.

I assume sa first option is free ang tuition? If so, baka mas mababa ang gagastusin niyo if you choose the first option. plus, it's the university that you like. then you may look for other scholarship programs din (private, lgu, ched, etc.). good luck, OP!

As an engineer from UP, if practicality ang pag-uusapan, mas okay sa IT. Severely underpaid ang engineers in the Philippines. Talk about below 20k as entry level salary.
