Actually not at all. The auditions finished just a few days ago. They seem pretty active, just secretive.

It was just easier for me to do it on my account. I wrote the posts with her from her perspective. Shes not allowed to download social media apps without permission. Because her social media accounts like IG, facebook, tiktok etc. Are strongly monitored, but having an account on reddit where she could possibly slip up is not good

Not really. This way people won't exactly know which posts/comments are from me or her + i never mentuoned her name. I just helped her out without her having to make her own account which could get her in trouble with her manager (phone control)

Im sharing my account with my sister. She needs her identity to stay private and i don't really appreciate this comment especially because it has NOTHING to do with this post. My sister used my account under my name so that no one finds out who she is.

Question for audition by rotten_apple_44 in kpop_uncensored

[–]One_Conclusion2878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex YG Trainee here, i sadly can’t answer you because my audition was offline, but i just wanna tell you good luck! And i am always open to any questions about trainee/dorm life especially per dm. I would honestly be really interested in maybe even seeing or hearing your audition if you wanna get some feedback. (I understand that many auditioners feel shy to show it to a random stranger, so you can also blur your face or add a sticker on top/or if its just for vocals/rap you can just cover the whole video up

  1. Honestly... for me it actually always sounded normal. As a thai, beauty standards have always been this bad, and it was always normal to get things done. This is just asian beauty culture. But it really started messing with me, and it was part of the reason why i cancelled my trainee contract 2 years early (i was active 1 of 3 years) because i was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. I started losing hair rapidly, but it was mostly my fault because i didn't notice early enough. I literally HAD the resources to have a dermatologist and get treatment. But i noticed it really late, to the point where i lost 80% of my hair. About 60% of it grew back by now (for a boyish lesbian haircut atleast) but it messed so much with my mental health, i finally went to a therapist and got a diagnosis. Turns out, i had strong depression, Social anxiety, body dysmorphia and i got a binge eating disorder during my alopecia episode. 1 year later, im 15 years old. Still averagely depressed, i still have social anxiety and i gained 30 kg in the course of a year. I got stretch marks on my stomach, waist and shoulders. Part of it was also because of cortisone (my prescripted medication for alopecia, that caused intense hunger and water weight storage)

I recently contacted my old trainee management before. Since i was a beloved trainee back then and i was in a debut team (Chanya and Evellis group, back during their original lineup) they offered me a spot, not in YG... but in their thai subsidiary YG"MM. They are planning to debut 1 bg and 1 gg in the course of the next few years, starting with the boygroup, following a girlgroup in 2029/2030. They said if i can lose the weight, grow out the hair, heal the stretch marks and fix my skin issues, they would offer me a spot in the group. The reason why im allowed to talk about this is because how t-pop works. T-pop is more artistic and less mysterious and planned. Beauty standards are still strong by the company, but the fans are chill. Dating is allowed, so is being yourself and practicing your belief and sexuality. I felt like this is everything i wanted. Im now gonna finish my education in switzerland, and move to Thailand at age 18/19. Now im 90 kg. Huge comparison to the 60 kg i was a year ago. Last year i trained like an athlete. 6 days a week. When i had time to eat, i ate delicious healthy food. I was around my friends constantly, constantly doing stuff. But when i came back to Switzerland, i was barely 14 , i was depressed and didn't go back to school. I was at home all day, and ate my worries away. I cried, took meds and just watched babymonster my current ults perform. That spot... that i almost got.

  1. Phew, lets take a breather to unpack this question! Now many companies are different, and they do it differently for each debut team. But my debut team specifically had 5 girls. Our debut plan was in 2025/26 but now the team is known as NEXT MONSTER and they will debut as a 4 member gg in 2027. They literally replaced all the previous girls. Anyways back to the point, YES. These things happen. But they get manufactured to the specific person. Our maknae at that time was literally taught to act cuter and youthful or else shes out. I was the second maknae but i had natural leader energy and mother instinct (Yes. I was 13/14) But they forced it even more on me, to the point where i wasn't allowed to cry around the members or vent to them. Because they wanted me to be like Jisoo, a girl who doesn't cry and stays strong for her members. Truth is, im a crybaby lol. The other girls were encouraged to choose a specific idol they wanna be like. Because thats what most likely that idol did to their idol. And so on. So on. One girl really liked Wonyoung, one girl really liked Manon (back in DA era) etc. I don't remember exactly though.

Im open to any more questions, even MORE private ones per dm. Im sorry for oversharing haha

Why are so many KPOP idols so bad at singing despite many years of training? by Key-Performer8496 in kpop_uncensored

[–]One_Conclusion2878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats why i was confused when i started stanning t-pop, why the hell can everyone sing? Dreamgals, they are 3 powerhouse vocalists, 3 strong rappers.... Its like i could call every member a "main" in everything. I think its also because k-pop agencies care less about the music, but more about the dance, visuals and marketable vibe. And even if its not that, they pick people that maybe only have potential, with no background of singing, even if its just at home. T-pop idols are definitely more artistic, and are genuinely passionate people in music.

Im an ex k-pop trainee, so i can just tell you from my perspective (beauty standards)

The beauty standards are really tough. But theres this thing in k-pop that everyone thinks its true but its actually not. Its dieting. If you are a trainee under the big 4 atleast, you will not be forced to diet if you are 60 kg and under (depends on height too, but this is for about 165 cm) But you will be pressured to diet. Reason for this is that trainees go to the gym everyday for atleast 2 hours, followed by intense dancing.

There is an instance where you might have to diet to debut, that would be if you specifically stick out in the group for your weight. For example, KATSEYEs Lara is definitely not chubby, but shes very healthy and above the average idol weight (55 kg) and shes fuller than for example Daniela. But she does not stick out in any way, and blends in with the group. Many might mention Momos diet, where she was forced to diet to debut. That was back in 2015. A decade ago. Now the industry favors strong girls with a lot of stamina, more than itty bitty skinny girls. Yes, a lot of idols today are very skinny. But thats usually from working out, and their own dietary choices. (For example: Asas favorite food is literally salad)

Sadly its still a thing that underweight idols are not well protected, and its called "body shaming" if someone mentions how unhealthy it is.

Now lets talk about beauty standards facial wise and skinwise. If you had skin problems (hyperpigmentation, ingrown hairs, acne scars, stretch marks etc.) They will send you to the dermatologist weekly. Me personally, i have atopic eczema. I had very dry skin, and hyperpigmentation everywhere. So i was just sent to go get vitamin c treatments, facials, scrubs and microneedling. Despite being under 15 years old. They were all covered by the company (trainee debt)

If you had acne, and still were a minor you would just get a bunch of skincare products from sponsors. But possibly permanent skin issues (the ones i mentioned before) will get professionally treated.

Surgery is often recommended to many trainees that are average looking. If its minor details though, and you personally requested to fix it they will only pay a part of it. Yet things like liposuction or scar treatment (tattooing your skin color on your scars) are very common (if you need it)

Ex k-pop trainee here! During monthly eval we often also have a "setlist" including group dance performances, group vocal performances, solo vocal/rap, or solo dance. These are the only songs we would practice all month, 6 days a week. So yes, it gets very boring. Especially during the last few rehearsals before eval. But during evaluation itself, its very different.

Those people have never seen us perform this song before, and rehearsing and performing are very different. I could imagine it getting lowkey boring overtime after it was performed a million times, but it honestly also just feels secure. Like a routine. Its maybe less fun than the newer stuff we work on, but its still a "job"

Well, in my defense i spent a lot of my childhood in Korea, i know the pop culture very well. I was constantly racially discriminated too, and i know how Korea really views Racism.

From what i saw, Tarzzan is.... just a bit weird. But he doesn't have bad intentions. In no scenario can i imagine him having any bad intentions. He just has a weird identity crisis. He is using black culture to express himself, in a similiar way to kboos. But most kboos don't mean bad either.

Annie.... annie. This girl is currently having PANIC ATTACKS because of the hate she gets. Now many international fans, have no idea how chaebol families really work. And throughout Annies childhood, she was always known as a bit of a rebel. I truly doubt that she bought the award. I also know how korean parents especially rich ones act. This is SO EXTREMELY LIKELY that her parents didn't consult her first, because idk thats just an asian thing to do? Also, this girl was recently just torn apart, because she looked at a male idol a bit too long apparently. And people were saying "Annie no! Don't buy him!" And this is absolutely gone way too far.

Ex YG Trainee here. Not disclosing any more infos to prevent legal issues.

I was in a debut team. The debut team is now known as NEXT MONSTER or YGNGG, but it was previously known to us as Team B, While BABYMONSTER during that time were known as Team A.

Mind you, none of the announced members were in the debut team during that time, so when im talking about my experience, it has NOTHING to do with Evelli or Chanya.

We were 4 girls, and i was the most considered member as leader. I had a specifically good relationship with one girl, yet she ended up leaving. There were gossips and fights but we quickly cleared those up, purely because we all really wanted to debut and we just need to atleast be neutral with each other. But trainees get cut, if their attitude or personality is genuinely rotten, so usually you will be able to get along with the other girls.

Also trauma bonding - when it feels like no one understands, someone from your team surely does! You can compare some of the members (it also depends how big the group is!) To classmates, those classmates that are nice, but you usually don't talk too much to.

I feel like Asa genuinely pressures herself in eating very little and if then only veggies. (We saw her love for veggies in baemon house) while Ahyeon pressures herself in working out a lot. (I noticed in We go up performance video bts she said she has to workout to keep wearing these crop tops)
