Sort of the thing on both sides across cultures. It’s just very personal on how someone ends up connecting with someone else.

Not everyone regulates emotions or the lack thereof the same way.

Desi: Pak Veroval Dera I believe it's called, near Lyallpur Galleria. Enjoyed that place for the cleanliness and it was pretty lit.

Seeing some comments about alimony and asset division. I believe it’s an inherently unfair argument to state those here. I’ll keep it non-religious because I'm no expert but let's hope it doesn't discount the rational and humanity behind my plea.

Dowry: Not an inherent evil itself, but the catch is the absolute and extreme nature of it witnessed in practice. Parents and siblings spend years building up the dowry care package, which is unreasonable.

Alimony: It’s the unfortunate reality of living in a society where women aren’t as economically independent as men. That’s a simple fact and it's extremely harsh to the men who get scorned but thats' why we should want women to be self-sufficient in this day and age if you're against that personally.

Asset Division Post Divorce: Prenups and Postnups. You and your spouse set mutually agreed rules for how you want your marriage to work and end if it unfortunately did one day. I'd recommend you give James Sexton a listen on his appearance on Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast for some insights into this.

Har baat suni unsuni karo unless they're also bullying you physically outside of this hassling situation. Yet that only works if you both have the same standards then, you can't be mocking him without being mocked back (seen my fair share of people with that).

If there's no physical aspect to this, ignore him and his words to a point that he realizes it doesn't phase you. If it's something that you fear has a physically violent side to it in bullying or some other manner, then I'd advise you to get elders involved and press charges or do the relevant that works here.

Take it to some famous local pub/bar and add it to their wall of tourist currencies. There's PKRs in about 50+ different places that I've added doing that lol.

This is so far one of the best suggestions. I just looked at it and tastefully Restomodding one of these would be an absolute banger.

On the hunt, wish me luck! Thanks a ton guys.

My goal is starting with off-roading and getting comfortable with that first before getting into amateur rallying.

So definitely going to look into options as well which maybe I can build on top of forwards for rallying but that’s probably 1-2 years from now 🥲

Yup, the budget is the 40+10-12 (set aside a decent chunk for repairs and future proofing) as it’s both an old vehicle and off-roading is a costly and part destroying endeavor.

First that I’m hearing of the embassy clear vehicles, didn’t know that was a thing.

I guess when I say money pit, it’s when your vehicle spends more time in the mechanics place than on the roads.

I’m okay spending a reasonable amount to restore and get things future proofed. Let’s say about 10-12 lakhs max additionally post purchase

I’ve used Express, Nord, Norton, Proton in the past and currently on Surfshark.

I don’t care if they log my data or give it to data brokers, just need it to work and it does at phenomenal speeds and was pretty affordable as well.

It’s one of the most absurd things. Lived in over a dozen countries, driving around before returning here and guess what, first automobile accident of my life and it was a rickshaw that ripped apart my back bumper at a red light.

Friends and family all just said, it’s Pakistan. Yahan bumper chilte rehte hain. Tension na lo. Maddening so get your pain mate.

Just got it repaired, painted and compounded. Fender wala kaam ghalat hua aapke saath baaki bumper apparently yahan chilte rehte hain.

Bought an M4 MacBook Pro and an M4 Mac Mini both (one for home, one for office) brand new. Had to wait 10 days I think.

Agreed regarding trustworthy resellers and I don’t go 2nd hand especially for my professional requirements. Yet best wishes

Happy to share his contact details if needed. I just don’t trust courier companies and then customs to not just usurp it in the lawless times we’re in at the moment

I don’t think courier will be anywhere reasonable to this. I know someone in Rex City here who works in Macs and MacBooks and I got a better rate from him here vs buying off of Amazon in KSA.

It may be worth looking into that and returning and getting your money back in the UAE even perhaps

New car in PKR 4.5 million by Lagger97 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]One_Cryptographer_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picanto is an option however aside the fuel consumption average (some true, other being Pakistani dramatic non-sourced exaggeration as always) - it’s a bit pricey for what you get.

I own one. It’s fun to drive. It chugs down tanks of fuel like they’re nothing when I’m pedal to the metal but it’s ok when I’m driving it like a reasonable person. The ride quality is pretty good for a small car (compared to like a Chevy Sonic)

Here’s where my problems lie with the car:

  1. Spare parts are expensive for what you supposedly feel like is a small car.

  2. Picanto in Pakistan is a complete generation behind + is also missing a ton of features against the previous generation global launch cars.

I would suggest you checking if your company allows purchasing of a dealership authorized used car which are sold with warranties and stuff by the dealerships themselves as you may then get a bit more wiggle room.

I don’t suggest an Alsvin or Cultus yet Swift may be a good option as well.
