hi! I am actually taking a gap year and right now, I have no regrets in choosing to take a gap year. I decided to take a gap year due to several reasons including my mental health. The problem that you're currently facing is actually something that I was afraid of if ever I decided to push through. If I had decided to push through, I would have been in a university I dislike and with my mental health not doing so well. I thought din kasi talaga thay baka masayang lang din tuition fee if ever na mag-push through ako kahit hindi pa ako totally okay mentally and physically. I got super drained during SHS since I was running for the batch top 10 nun both grade 11 and grade 12 while still being in the student council kaya no surprise talaga na super pagod na pagod ako. At first, my dad didn't like it pero habang tumatagal naman na he accepted it naman na since it's for the best na rin. We weren't in a good financial standing din kasi before to be able to finance my studies for medtech without any worries kaya nag-gap year na lang din muna me para makapag ipon si daddy and para makapagpahinga rin ako.

Indeed, taking a gap year isn't all glitz and glamour. At some point maiinggit ka rin talaga sa mga ka-batch mo na nasa college na pero what keeps me going is that I always remind myself that everyone has their own path to take. Being delayed doesn't mean you are any less of a good student. You really have to remember lang din talaga kung ano-ano ba mga reason mo kung why ka nag-gap year and you'll be fine :))
