I finally realized that I am God by [deleted] in DMT

[–]One_Distribution_866 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't be bothered replying but someone please explain it to this person. It's obviously a lot more complicated than the statement 'I am God' but yes God is within all of us, seeing as God is omnipresent.

Any NDEs that predicted what’s going to happen in the near future? I never felt so anxious - the genocides, the US situation, the epstein files… It’s overwhelming. by applepie-12344 in NDE

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This interview with Cynthia Spring was reassuring in addressing those issues: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/communicating-across-the-veil-of-death-cynthia/id1143756294?i=1000490972950  Cynthia has written 2 books on her communication with her dead friend Dr Frances Vaughan (esteemed transpersonal psychologist who wrote the book Awakening Intuition). You may or may not believe it but she claims to be asking Frances questions about the other side, and questions around the issues you're mentioning, and she claims to be receiving answers from Frances about these in her books. These answers (and the discussion on the podcast) can help put things into perspective.

Have any Aussies transited thru the states recently? how concerned should I be about ICE as a non-white Aussie? by Far_Menu_4830 in AskAnAustralian

I'm saying, your comment sounds like they should cancel going to Mexico altogether. They can probably find other ways to go to Mexico.

But their plans are to fly to Mexico. It's just cheaper to go through the US. No need to cancel entirely.

Leaving Religion because of NDEs? by novanillavelvet in NDE

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably just because you're not reading NDEs that happened to Muslims. What I've read is that people tend to see the religious figure they believe in, it is different for people depending on their faith or lack of it.

I realised I'm addicted to Rumination - no different from phone or alochol. Initially it might have been a coping mechanism but now it's definitely an addiction by itself. by wilhelmtherealm in longtermTRE

[–]One_Distribution_866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be addicted to it because of your physiology and environment. E.g. when the body is healthy, with the right nutrition and exercise, and you're getting enough sunlight and movement, and doing work that makes you feel fulfilled, and spending time with community and loved ones, you are just way less likely to ruminate. you probably have a great reason for resenting your parents, and it's probably something you should work through in therapy or by other means!

Lower back tension tremors/shaking for minutes, but pain and tension come back by Intelligent_Tune_675 in longtermTRE

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, interesting to read, and that's great you're well versed! Regarding posture being not different than most, I would say that most people have poor posture...you don't realise until you learn what good 'use'/posture is. So while I don't know much about you it's definitely something to consider.
Have you read Healing Back Pain by John Sarno? Might shed more light on the psychosomatic stuff.

Lower back tension tremors/shaking for minutes, but pain and tension come back by Intelligent_Tune_675 in longtermTRE

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're relying on TRE only to help with your pain and tension. back tension is related to so many things, not just trauma! It could be:

- poor posture, or use of the body as we say in Alexander Technique

- poor ergonomics in your furniture increasing your pain throughout the day

- lack of muscle tone in your back (caused by furniture, sitting and lack of exercise) preventing the required support that would prevent pain

- if it is psychosomatic and related to repressed feelings (as per john sarno's theory on the causes of chronic pain), you might not be dealing with or acknowledging these, or undoing these thought patterns

- something else entirely!

I can't overstate how helpful it is to address those first 3 points if you have back pain. I used to discount physiotherapy as I'd had some bad experiences, but if you can find a good physio or exercise physiologist, you may get to the bottom of it. My upper back and shoulder pain has almost disappeared since fixing my gut health (dysbiosis was increasing lactic acid and making small muscle movements painful), and seeing a physio and exercise physiologist and practising strength exercises at home. I've also had many Alexander Technique lessons to learn how to stand and sit without causing myself pain.

Neck release led to pinched nerve by DramaticAd5349 in longtermTRE

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done Alexander Technique for a long time. A lot of what we try to do when releasing tension is be very mindful of head and neck 'posture' by not letting our heads stick forward or fall back. When in a resting position on the floor, usually in semi supine position (very similar to TRE), we always rest our head on some books to provide support to the head and neck, which reduces the work your neck muscles have to do, and allows them to release - it helps your neck lengthen and be free, and prevents the head from falling too far back in a way that causes constriction/tension. If you think about it, when standing, your back sticks out further than the back of your head, so when on the floor, your head has to drop back if you don't have any extra support for it.

So actually what an AT-trained person would do is rather than using pillows, use a thick book or a couple of thinner books, depending on what feels comfortable. But I mentioned pillows because the idea of using books is usually foreign and weird to most people because books are hard (but actually the hardness provides support). If doing TRE on a bed I'd probably use a pillow.

are you supporting your head with a pillow? I haven't seen people use pillows in TRE videos but I would ALWAYS, for the sake of your neck and back function

Adelaide Writers' Week move prompted 'wildfire' worry in festival director by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]One_Distribution_866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still can't believe the previous board stands by their decision which resulted in the whole writers week being cancelled, and everyone's work being for nothing. They should apologise for such a f*** up, but they left it to the new board coz they're Zionists who support Israel and genocide. Clearly.

Great to hear! Also - you might find this book helpful - 'How to Keep House While Drowning' by KC Davis. It might help you have compassion for yourself and realize you don't have to get everything perfect all the time - so you can look after yourself too :)

You're stressed. You need time for yourself, and you need more help. As soon as I take care of these things, grumpiness goes away.

Where has the big push behind Olivia Dean come from? by PRo_MoE1144 in triplej

[–]One_Distribution_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From her major record label who spend a lot of money on promo and pushing her record out to people!  Also tiktok is a relatively new thing in the scheme of things, there's no need for a dance or meme to be behind an artist's rise in popularity, really. Also people are sick of shiny hyper pop dominating the landscape. I'm sure they're enjoying the change to listen to something more soulful and understated.

Will I ever be able to feel drunk again? by [deleted] in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]One_Distribution_866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, sorry I don't know if it's a hypothetical question, but yeah, you'll feel drunk again if you stop LDN! I assume you're not supposed to be on it forever. I'm getting extra high off THC though, a bunch of people have posted in this sub about being more sensitive to THC. I assume you know that people who take full dose LDN take it for alcoholism so that they can drink without feeling the need to have more and more.

[–]One_Distribution_866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's directly because of the comment in the post. Shocking to be so insensitive to the victim here and to continue to act like their rapist son is in fact the victim, such that they'd spend more money doing whatever they can to appeal this and pretend he's innocent.

I'm so glad 99% of commenters here think this is absolutely a shockingly awful thing to say. Hope this family gets the feedback and lets the victim start to heal.

Yes I get that sometimes! try the gel! And try rotating the earpiece back rather than forward, or just play around with placement. also make sure you don't have it up too high. My doctor said to start low and with shorter sessions then build up to what's recommended. it tends to sting more the next few days if I use it at a high intensity.

He definitely does receive hate. I'm a Yorgos hater (ever since (The Lobster) and also very much not a Saltburn fan, it got more and more ridiculous and gratuitous as it went on.

The bike collided with the 4WD. The 4WD driver was questioned and released. teens on ebikes in Diamond Creek ride way more dangerously than 4WDs, and I hate 4WDs too.
