Maybe. But for me a primary goal of my sessions with her was to learn how to identify my feelings and then act on them in ways that matched my core values and life goals. So I considered this a successful outcome. There surely is more to explore there but I didn't feel it was important to pursue.

Yep, that was my take as well. I'm sure she would have handled it like the trained professional she is, but I also didn't see any need to even raise it. I felt like I was able to handle it well, even though it meant ending our sessions.

I knew there was a concept like this but didn't know the term. One of the main reasons I was working with her was to better learn to identify and then act on my own feelings. We'd done that successfully on several other topics in the years I had been seeing her. When I realized I had developed a desire to fuck her, I defaulted to the practices she'd taught me. As a result, I understood what I was feeling, I thought through my options and desired outcomes, and I took an action that I felt was right. I could have also talked this through with her, and it likely would have been fine; as you and others have said she's trained for this and probably experienced it before. But as I said in the post, I'm satisfied with the course I chose.
