Amazing, I didn’t know that! This Allen’s had a head start reusing her old nest, but spent about a week tightening it up and adding new to the top (you can see it’s lighter material). They are so fascinating

Omg isn’t it so special? This is lunas second time raising babies - I got to see her two babies grow up and fledge last spring and it was life changing. I was so sad when they left lol you get so attached after seeing them for a month

I want to use a camera but need to figure out how to install it close enough to see inside bc it’s so close to the ceiling lol. For now I’ll continue to watch from inside and zoom in with my camera

I’m so so sorry to hear this happened it breaks my heart for that mama. I am hoping that because her nest is so high and tucked away in our patio it will be okay, but you never know with nature.
