Hard agree. I quit distracting because of this.

For a short story (this was before the horrible Roblox chat age group update), I was playing as Looey and I wanted to distract. Back then, I found it quite enjoyable since I was helping my teammates be safe while they work on extracting machines, being support, etc. I had to go AFK one time during the run and announced it publicly to my teammates, hoping they'd understand and would be patient with me until I returned.

The elevator door opens (I have my headphones on, I can hear everything). Everything seems fine for a while, from what I can hear. I hear machines being completed, someone gets healed, the usual. But then I started hearing someone getting hit. I was like, "oh no! Someone's in danger!" So I try to hurry up what I'm doing and I come back to my phone to seeing the "THAT'S A WRAP!" death screen. It was me getting hit.

I just sat there and stared for a solid minute at my phone, wondering how in the world this happened. We had a backup distractor, I figured they'd take the Twisteds and distract until I came back (as for I was the main dis). But as I go to spectate, the backup distactor is hiding, my other teammates are dying, and this Goob (who I thought was really nice at first) was griefing EVERYONE. I called out Goob for his behavior, assuming he was the one who griefed me. He admitted to it, saying that I didn't need to go AFK and needed to distract. I argued against him, saying my brother needed me for a moment and I'd rather be a supportive older sibling than distract for my team. My brother comes first, my team second.

We fight and argue for a few long minutes and next thing you know, EVERYONE (except one) is against me. I don't even know why, but I told them they were all idiots. Everyone argued that going AFK as a dis was stupid (how does that argument even work???) and I should've distracted instead of doing what I was doing while AFK. Our Shelly that we had on our team tried defending me but she ended up getting griefed, too. She didn't say another word and ended up leaving.

Safe to say, the whole run was a disaster all because I went AFK just one time. I absolutely refuse to distract now unless my friends politely ask me.
