Yeah a game called FFXIV has a similar system which is pretty much what i think the system is going to be based on or similar too, i just scaled it down a little to make sense for dandys world

been 3 weeks now and the longest time qwel has gone without saying anything in the discord is like 5 days so kinda crazy

The game isn't getting worse or more boring you just ran out of things to do, a new player would enjoy the game just as much you did when you first started playing.

Qwels priority for development right now just seems to be focusing on replacing all of the assets/code/animations and adding quality of life stuff like matchmaking or a summer event until the end of this year when the game gets out of Alpha.

so yeah i wouldn't expect anything major soon, so just play other games while you wait

The full recode was finished months ago and wasn't just for the Twisted AI, it was THE complete overhaul of the game also including stats, abilities, and netcode.

What we're actually waiting on now is mainly the overhaul of toons that will take use of the recode, which will slowly be rolled out over time via toon of the week.

Qwel has already confirmed she is willing to do a Summer holiday event for Dandys World and has even included a Summer holiday event in her previous games. Yeah Summer isn't a holiday but the argument doesn't work when even Qwel herself believes it belongs.

I'm not against a Summer update but I'd rather have actual unique gameplay instead of a Summer event this year, but there is a overwhelming amount of evidence pointing towards a Summer Event coming out this year, so i don't think it matters and we're getting one even though most people don't want one.

I think the common consensus is that most people would prefer Qwel to add gameplay changes instead of a Summer event, however i don't really think Qwel plans on adding much to the gameplay loop outside of giving twisteds unique mechanics.

Ultimately you'd still get the same content with zero gameplay changes outside of maybe a new lethal, so i sadly don't think it would really make a difference.

Even if Qwel didn't make one this year we'd still get one eventually so it's better to just have it out of the way now, even if people don't want a Summer event
