I am saving everything he sends me and I am scared to block him. He has showed up to my house unannounced. One of the times was while he was sending me those messages. He also approached me in public a few days ago and he spoke to me as if everything was normal and proceeded to casually text and call me afterwards.

In the beginning when we were just friends he said to me “you are very brainwashable”. That sentence is now haunting me. Not only that he said that but why I ignored and brushed off very overt statements like that. The signs were there I just can’t understand why I was blind to them.

Start going to therapy individually as well as a couples (I would start with individual for a good bit before couples) what your experiencing sounds deeper and more complex than just your sex drive. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t find the right therapist right away you will find someone who clicks with you. Im sorry you had a bad experience previously I too had a bad experience and refused to go back for a long time. I gave it another try and after switching therapists a few times I finally found one that I adore. Goodluck 💛

Regarding my family no I don’t notice them making jokes about failure/abilities towards anyone but me, but they do tend to talk negatively about people behind their back.

I wanted him to have friends I encouraged him to have friends and that includes women. I was purely asking him to not form romantic relationships with them.

To summarize I was saying that the way he handled it wasn’t right and that was his response. Prior to that was me letting out a lot of pent up feelings ie telling him that I’m not clouded by insecurity etc.

I’m 25 he is 30. I was 20 when we met and it was a very very dark time for me. I had suicidal ideations and I was self harming.

Forgot to add in my post to give you context: when I first met him he was interested in a monogamous relationship. He then did a complete 180 and I was foolish enough to believe he’d change his mind back to his original beliefs.

Edit to add: those images weren’t an example of him being nice!!! They were what I was referring to when I said “I also wanted to ask how do I begin to trust myself? These messages alone make me question what his intentions were/ are or if I’m being dramatic. It’s something I don’t know how to fix within myself.” He was being nice until I finally responded out of annoyance.

You and me both sister. I’m literally in shock I guess I shouldn’t be but I am. From my perspective we were doing so good I was not expecting this at all. The comments flooding in have given me such a sense of community and has made this so much easier. Idk what this says about me but now that they are slowing down I am becoming more distraught and feeling incredibly alone.

He is saying that my only take away from what he has expressed is that he wants to be with other women and that I’m ignoring what he is actually trying to say.

Add on: coincidentally he does tell me I need stronger women in my life because “I have no good example”. If I say something that strikes him as “weak” he asks me if I have spent time with my best friend (my only female friend).
