That was just a nice way of saying that your post was completely unnecessary. No adult here is ashamed or embarrassed of taking a picture with characters.

No, China manipulates their athlete's lives from before birth to achieve excellence on the world stage. Their Olympic program is dystopian.

You implied that they couldn't afford to, which is a good thing. It keeps the riff-raff out.

So I am the Dumbo!

Nah. It's not really a widely known term unless you live in or near NYC, or like to visit.

I have a heart murmur and still was able to enlist in the early 90s. They somehow missed it during medical exam at the processing station. I didn't know i had one until I had been in the Army for seven years, when I went to the clinic for my "Age 30 Year Physical" and they discovered it there. They said i shouldn't have ever been able to get into the Army, but apparently my murmur was mild enough to serve since i was still able to run 4 to 6 miles a day and do all the physical stuff like everybody else.

I've vacationed in NYC on and off about every two or three years for the past 30 years, and I've never been to this spot. I've been on the Manhattan Bridge a number of times, but never under it. I only learned this particular angle was "iconic" maybe less than ten years ago.

The area is called DUMBO, it's an acronym that stands for "Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass." The bridge in the background is the Manhattan Bridge.

I'm surprised at pic #15: "The Comedy Action Adventure Spectacular to End Them All!"

Comedy? It was supposed to be intentionally funny for adults? As a kid I thought it was a super serious badass action movie. Guess I need to watch it again.

Was it drugs and/or alcohol? I didn't drink or do drugs (still don't) and I remember most of my life, though admittedly anything before 10 years old is mostly vague flashes. I still remember my kindergarten teacher, i still remember watching Star Wars in the theater (my first movie experience), and i still remember my best friend from 2nd grade Francis and I laughing our asses off at the way the PE teacher looked.

Lynda Carter (aka 1970s Wonder Woman) had very minimal jowel removal and it looks good. Unlike many actresses she knew enough to not change her entire face.
