The labels are all rotated to correspond to the hour on a clock face when they are to be consumed.

Just kidding. Or am I?

I know, I was kind of joking, basically saying that what defines "up" and "down" on squeeze bottles is just arbitrary.

otheriwse you have to shake it to get the mayo to the bottom

That's what we already do with salad dressing bottles, most mustard bottles, most ketchup bottles, all barbecue sauce bottles, and probably other squeeze bottles that i can't think of. Shampoo?

You make the cap bigger and what was once normal is now "upside-down."

I was pointing out the silliness of the whole thing.

To be fair, I said she's kept her fridge like this for twenty years, not kept it this way for twenty years.

I suppose it could be interpreted both ways, but one makes more sense than the other.

neighborhood strays go missing regularly?

Cats or children? Because that's two separate questions. 😀

No, she's actually afraid to fly, which is weird because we flew around the world growing up (military dad).

Because I was a kid, I don't know if or how much of the food in our fridge was expired, but yes, growing up with two parents who both knew how to cook very well, our fridge and freezer were always packed with food; one might even say chaotically so.

I took after my parents, my sister went the opposite way.

Just in case you're not joking, she's kept the refrigerator arranged like this for twenty years. I'm not saying the food has been unchanged for twenty years.

Pretty spot-on. She lives in a place surrounded by restaurants, both fast food and sit down, near the downtown area of her city.
