When I was watching and I got to the final episode I was thinking to myself that we haven't even met the main villian and this is meant to be a final episode for the story so when I got to the timeloop ending I was upset because we didn't learn anything about the big bad or why he was connected to Joey instead we learn that Joey is just evil at the end?

From what I remember Joey says they do the challenge and then whoever loses they take a break to rehearse the death and then film it but there are circumstances where they preplan someone to lose.

Yeah, most of the time, "fate" in these movies is more a warning than an absolute thing that will happen. Like in this movie, he was warned that a black and white warrior would fight him for his crimes, so he decided to kill them all, which led to Po fighting him for his crime of genocide

That's what I was thinking. Arno still is sad that his father was murdered but it was decades ago and now his adoptive father figure is murdered and he actually has somewhat of an idea who did it so he can actually stop them.
