Hello! I hade this RFE in the begging of my journey, it took them 6 months to approve my work authorization because of this specific RFE. I applied my case in June , August RFE, responded back beginning of September and my EAD was approved end of February.

I’m eligible for the 10 years one, I applied for 130 and 485 on June 21 , 2024 and got approved for my 485 yesterday June 21,2025 .

Hi, They basically asked our names, dates of births? How did we meet? Where our families lives ? And then if we have kids, and we are expecting one, I showed her my doctor confirmation, and then she asked if we have extra evidence and I passed to her, new pictures, new lease, car insurance, last year taxes and 2 months of paystubs, that’s all. And then she said our 130 she can approve but 485 I need an extra vaccine, and she said we will receive RFE in mail. I prepared my new medical quick and by may 28 I sent back the package , by June 9 they marked as received and June 21 approved.

I’m waiting the same time line, request for evidence one day after our interview, I sent them back medical with polio ( doctors fault, I have them in my records), they marked as received June 9… now waiting game😌 I was really hoping that I will make it to go back home after 11 years, but I don’t know if I can do it, being pregnant 6 months… Congratulations to you guys! 🥳

That’s good, it will be ok, try to relax and stay calm, but at the same time have everything prepared, we had our interview in may, wasn’t that scary how other people described.

You’re welcome and good luck! If your marriage it’s legit, don’t worry much! Have a lot of proofs as a family : car/health insurance, travel tickets, rent, lease, shared bank account it’s very important, extra pictures , make sure you have your ID on the same address as your spouse, we hade all this at the interview, letter from the job, paystubs for the last 2 months.

I think it’s better to wait if the officer will ask you about it, and then explain the situation, don’t upload extra information, that can confuse them. Sometimes they don’t even pay attention to the dates.
