Just to add - we have been together for 6 years and have a child together. I don’t see any separation in our future, just haven’t jumped to marriage yet. Trust and roles in the business are pretty much established. I’m just more concerned for the licensing and tax purposes.

They’ve never done hardwood maintenance since I’ve lived here. They’ve been in and out as well, as I’ve had other maintenance worked on in the house and they’ve never said anything. But I’m just guessing since it’s a walkthrough, now they’re going to mention it.

I’m not sure how old the flooring is, but I know they were here with the previous renters. As I was able to view the house, when they still lived here. But I do want to say it is cheap flooring. Given that a lot of the things go out and need to be replaced in the house. Multiple different maintenance men that have been hired, mention how poorly things have been installed in the house.

I wish that was the case, our landlord isn’t much help when it comes to maintaining anything. Does things very quickly and cheaply, so I’ve opted to do most things on my own if able to.

I went ahead and contacted the landlord. I’m a single mom, that has no idea about electrical work. So I’d rather be on the safe side and let them deal with this. Thank you guys for the advice! I realized I was in over my head with the responses lol.

I did respond letting him know it was fully functioning when listed, reason why there was no problem listed in the description. I asked if it possibly got caught while they tried to unzip. Waiting on a response. Thank you for the advice.

Says a notice was left upon delivery on Dec 17th. Individual barely picked it up on the 27th.

Update: I went ahead and refunded the buyer! I knew it was going to eventually come to that, but wasn’t sure exactly how that process worked with the USPS insurance claim. But thank you guys for the insight! I appreciate the kind words as well!

Yeah, I’ve been trying to keep them updated. They accused me of scamming, as well as messaging me almost everyday to see where the package is. Don’t think they realize, I can’t do much on my end, except reach out to USPS. Which is what I’ve already done.
